Air-cooled to perfection.
A completely revised machine from the 993 works in the KAEGE RETRO CLASSIC – and thus the best air-cooled series technology that has ever been installed in Swabia. Finely disassembled, tested, finely balanced and reassembled, the unit looks extremely cultivated, smooth-running and stable.
Through careful fine-tuning, we have been able to increase the performance from a displacement of 3.6 liters to 300 hp and more. Classic 911 feeling. Thanks to the built-in hydraulic tappets, the RETRO requires very little maintenance – but thanks to its OBD capability, it can be handled easily by any Porsche dealer.
Consistently KW.
It is a matter of honor that we also install the tried and tested KW chassis in this "lighthouse project" from KAEGE. Comfort, damping behavior and sportiness are unsurpassed in the chassis of this manufacturer – and also suit the Kaege RETRO.
Quite the 993.
As with the six-cylinder unit, we have changed little with the six-speed gearbox of the 993. Although outdated and checked for heart and gear: some things are just fine as they are.

Saving weight with reliable performance – this premise also applied when selecting the battery. For this reason, we have again opted for a Liteblox lithium battery. A real lightweight made in Germany, tried and tested in racing.
Safety & Comfort
Innovative luminosity.
A question of safety: When it comes to headlights, it feels like the "good old days" are a lot longer than with other components. Reason enough for us to sell our LED headlights from our own production in the KAEGE RETRO.
They blend flawlessly into the optical look, but are in fact decades ahead of their predecessors in terms of economy, light intensity and durability.

Ergonomically perfect, ultimately comfortable and safe: It is logical that the seats for the RETRO have also used the best that the market has to offer. It doesn't matter which design you choose – it's worth trying out!
Travel through time with a cool head.
We were particularly happy about some blessings of modern times with the 993: In contrast to the F model, it already had air conditioning as standard. Completely overhauled, in addition to the optional sliding roof in the RETRO, it now ensures that there is not only enthusiasm but also the optimum temperature on every pleasure trip.
