From the 1950s to the 1970s, these sports cars were accompanied by the iconic Renndienst transporters. The dark red “VW Bulli”, which were considered the technical backbone of the racing team back then, have themselves become true cult objects today. The legendary red racing service (Renndienst) VW Bulli
As early as 1954, the Porsche factory team deployed the first Renndienst van at the legendary Mille Miglia. The need arose because Porsche did not have a suitable vehicle for transporting tools and spare parts. This led to the idea of converting a VW Bus for the purpose. The first model was based on the VW T1, and in the following decades – from the 1950s to the 1970s – numerous other Renndienst vans followed, based on the VW Transporter, both T1 and T2 models.
The transporters, equipped with their robust air-cooled engines, were far more than just mobile workshops. They served as flexible service stations for the team and often doubled as makeshift accommodations for engineers and other team members during races around the globe. But the Renndienst vans were not just practical; they were also a real eye-catcher. With their signature dark red paint, they became a fixture of the Porsche factory team, even though the spotlight was mostly on racing legends like the Porsche 904, 908, 910, and 917. Today, some of these iconic Renndienst vans can be admired in museums or proudly kept in the garages of dedicated Porsche collectors.

Conventional textiles contain many harmful substances that are absorbed through the skin. We have therefore decided to have our textile products produced as sustainably as possible. Our fabrics are therefore produced according to the strict GOTS criteria.
However, this also means that our sweaters and hoodies fluff a little before the first few washes. This is because we use a mechanical and not a chemical process to roughen the inside. This protects the environment and makes the fabric particularly soft, but some loose fluff still remains. These become less with each wash cycle and after 3-4 gentle washes the small disadvantage has resolved itself. Important: Please always wash garments inside out at a maximum of 30 degrees.
