Secure first edition! The Porsche 993 GT2 Book
The book on the street-legal GT2 begins with a chapter on the origins of the air-cooled 911, covering all generations up to the 993 generation. The authors interviewed dozens of key people involved with the 993 GT2 to get as much information as possible. Chapters on the engine, transmission, and chassis provide an in-depth look at the technical aspects of this extraordinary car. Porsche’s media activities and contemporary magazines are also presented.
The authors have also taken the trouble to track down as many cars as possible and provide detailed information on every single GT2 that ever rolled off the production line in Zuffenhausen. This “catalogue raisonné,” published for the first time, covers 120 pages of the book.
The appendix includes historical documentation, technical data and a list of technical terms and names.
The book on the GT2 race cars contains individual chapters for each version: from the first 96 models through the 96/2 models to the 98 models and the very rare Evo model, which was launched in two different generations.
This double volume comes in a single, protective slipcase. The first edition is limited to 993 copies.
