Porsche 930
Porsche’s first 911 Turbo is better known as the Porsche 930. It was produced from 1974 to 1989, initially only as a coupe, and from model year 1985 also as a convertible and targa. When it was introduced, the Porsche 930 was the fastest mass-produced car in Germany. The Porsche 930 owed this to its turbocharged six-cylinder boxer engine. It was the world’s first production sports car with an exhaust gas turbocharger. Engine capacities ranged from 3.0 to 3.3 liters and from 234 to 330 hp. A total of 2,850 Porsche 930 Turbo 3.0 and 17,628 Porsche 930 Turbo 3.3 were produced.
