Pascha is back! Porsche 911 Spirit 70 cites the wild 70s & 80s

With the new Porsche 911 Spirit 70, the Stuttgart-based company is presenting a new special model limited to 1,500 units. The Cabriolet based on the Porsche 992.2 Carrera GTS boasts numerous historically inspired design features. This special model, painted exclusively for the Spirit 70 in Olive Neo, complements the Heritage Design model series. With the return of the legendary Pasha seat pattern, among other things, it stands for the “freedom and joie de vivre” of the 70s and early 80s, according to Porsche.

The Porsche 911 Spirit 70 is the third car in the Heritage Design series

Following the Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition and the 911 Sport Classic, Porsche is presenting the third car in the limited Heritage Design series with the Porsche 911 Spirit 70. While the Targa quoted designs from the 50s and 60s, the Sport Classic also borrowed from the 60s and early 70s. The 911 Spirit 70 is therefore the logical next step.

The limited-edition sports cars visualise what makes the Porsche brand so special. Every design of our vehicles ties in with our history – these vehicles go one step further. They show how we reinterpret historical design elements in a state-of-the-art sports car.

Michael Mauer, Vice President Style Porsche

Based on the current Porsche 992.2 Carrera GTS Cabriolet, the team led by Porsche Style Vice President Michael Mauer created a 911 with a lot of retro chic. The 541 hp t-Hybrid with Porsche dual-clutch transmission is not only given a typical 70s color called Olive Neo. There are also decorative graphics in black silk gloss on the hood and the side of the vehicle. A “911” is enthroned on the hood and merges into three stripes towards the windscreen. Another nod to the past is crest on the hood, which looks almost identical to the 1963 Porsche crest.

In addition to the classic Porsche lettering above the side sill, the starting number plate, or lollipop, is of course a must. But Porsche’s Exclusive Manufaktur has also come up with a few ideas for the rims and trim parts. Their crest adorns the fenders in gold, while the Porsche Heritage badge is mounted on the boot lid. It is reminiscent of the 100,000 kilometer badges that Porsche issued to 356 drivers in the 1950s. The center-lock wheels in Fuchs design (Sport Classic wheels), the rear lower section and the front section are also painted in the beautiful gray-gold contrasting shade of Bronzit.

With the Porsche 911 Spirit 70, the Pasha interior returns!

Even more than the color, however, fans of classic designs will be delighted with Porsche’s interior decision. With the Porsche 911 Spirit 70, the Zuffenhausen-based company is celebrating the comeback of the Pasha interior in the 992.2! This design, based on a chequered flag in the wind, has a large fan base, particularly in G-Models and the 928. In the 911 Spirit 70, Porsche uses the same color combination for the Pasha design in the interior as on the outside: olive neo and black. Black/white and black in combination with Dark Silver are also available on request.

And as with the sometimes slightly psychedelic interiors of the 1970s, the pattern runs through the entire interior of the new limited special edition model. Porsche lined the front and rear seat center panels, door panels, seat backs, the inside of the glove compartment and even the dashboard in the wonderfully contemporary Pasha fabric. In contrast to the jacquard velour used in the past, however, textile with flock yarn is used today. As a nice additional feature, there is also a trunk mat in Pasha. The interior is complemented by basalt black club leather with decorative stitching in olive neo or slate gray.

Porsche 911 Spirit 70 starts at €240,000, however the Heritage Design Package Pasha is available for 911 models from €11,590.60 surcharge

The new limited edition Porsche with 70s disco vibes is now available in the Porsche Configurator. Interested parties will have to budget at least 240,000 euros for one of the new special models. However, at least the Heritage Design Package Pasha with the charming retro fabric in Black/Dark Silver can also be selected for all other 911 models. Its price: 11,590.60 euros.
