Restoration, process, perfection
In our workshop we combine passion with daily manual work to perfection.
This can only be achieved in the quality we strive for if the standards are clearly defined! That's why we have defined the process of every restoration! This restoration process always represents the minimum standard – and is of course expanded or adapted according to your individualization wishes.
A racing car needs a modified body, a special engine, a racing chassis but no leather interior – our process of course has to take this into account.
Who is behind Manufaktur 964?
Hans-Michael Gerischer:
“Restoring and customizing automobiles has always been my passion. It started with the restoration and tuning of Beetles.
I bought my first 964 over 20 years ago and my enthusiasm for this car has remained. I have been maintaining and optimizing these automobiles myself since 1996.
In 1995 I took part in a race track training for the first time and discovered a different dimension of driving and screwing: your life depends on the quality of the work – all components of the vehicle are stressed to the limit and negligence can have devastating consequences.
This quality requirement for one's own performance is my personal leitmotif for the Manufaktur 964. Outside of the Manufactory, I dedicate myself to my passion for Porsche through track days. I regularly take part in driver courses on various race tracks in my 964 Turbo. I have been a member of the piste club since 2002 and an instructor at the piste club for Hockenheim since 2006; Nürburgring GP and Spa.”
Jochen Dronia:
“In 1992 I started as a racing mechanic at the Carrera Cup (964). In 1998 I accompanied my first 24-hour race with Porsche at the Nürburgring. Since then I have looked after Porsche teams in the VLN and various other racing series.
From 2009 to 2012 I looked after all of the Pinta Racing Team's outings in the VLN, 24H races and ADAC GT Cup.
After my master's certificate, I fulfilled my dream in 2000 and have been running the Dronia sports cars with great joy ever since.
The Dronia-Sportwagen is a company specializing in Porsche automobiles with know-how for all 911 generations from the F model to the current models.
In addition to maintenance and optimization, we build customer vehicles for racing with dedication, which we then also look after in use.
My personal favorite, however, is the 964.
