Hexagon of Highgate was founded by Paul Michaels in 1963 operating from a small mews garage in North London. Servicing and tuning sports cars, Paul made sure that Hexagon quickly built a reputation for being passionate about road and race cars.
Hexagon expanded into sales and became the official London dealers for many of the most prestigious brands – Porsche, BMW, Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo, and Lotus.
During that time Hexagon committed to motor racing and began racing D-Type Jaguars. We entered Formula One in 1972 in a March 721 driven by John Watson. Our most successful period was the 1973/74 season when John drove a Brabham BT44 to our best-ever finish of 4th place at the Austrian GP, and amassed a very respectable six points for the season. Carlos Pace drove the second Hexagon entry that year.
Hexagon focuses on the rarest and most collectable marques in the world and should be the first call for any serious collectors. Specialising in air-cooled Porsches, we usually have over 25 available. Porsche was one of the marques that Hexagon sold new, so it’s possible to find a vehicle that we supplied in the 1970’s return for resale.
Paul and his sales team led by Jonathan Ostroff and Jeremy Finburgh utilise their sports car experience to deliver the best classics. Their unrivalled contacts around the world mean that if you have a specific car requirement they are very likely to know exactly where one is.
Hexagon continues to offer full service and re-commissioning facilities from our impressive Fortis Green premises, keeping the likes of Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Lotus, BMW, and Jaguar and other classic cars all ready for their next adventure. We offer a facility for body shop, leather repairs, detailing, carbon paint protection and even full restoration. Long-term secure storage for customer’s cars is also offered. We even have a premium coffee bar, New York pizza and event facilities at the showroom.
