Sales:
At Duke of London, we pride ourselves on making the sale of your vehicle as straightforward and hassle-free as possible.
We begin by arranging to inspect your vehicle to establish its condition, history and value. Once we agree on the asking price, we will prepare your vehicle in our on-site Ceramic Pro Detailing Studio ahead of having it photographed by a professional automotive photographer on location (please see our gallery for examples of photoshoots of stock past and present). We will then market the car across a multitude of online platforms, our own social media, at our events and so on.
We handle all negotiations and viewings at our showroom. Once we secure a sale, we manage all logistics including payment, transfer of ownership paperwork, handover of the vehicle and balance payment to you, the vendor. We deduct our agreed commission from said balance.
For the duration of its time in the care of Duke of London, your vehicle will be comprehensively insured by our motor trade insurance policy.
Sourcing:
As part of the service we offer our clients, we are able to source a vehicle to meet your specifications. Using our experience, knowledge and contacts we can also advise you if necessary on what may best suit your requirements.
When we have an understanding of your ideal vehicle, Duke of London will then begin enquiring through our network of collectors and specialists and shortlist a selection of vehicles for you, saving you hours – potentially days – of phoning and emailing brokers, dealers and private sellers. We are able to help you make the right choice and select your preferred vehicle. We then inspect the car for you, compiling a written report with photographs then, if instructed, Duke of London will begin negotiations on your behalf.
Once a sale is agreed, we will supervise the exchange of funds and the handover of the car and all related paperwork, plus shipping to the destination of your choice anywhere in the world with a reliable carrier on the best available terms.
Detailing & PPF:
Our purpose-built 3,000 sq ft detailing and PPF studio in the heart of The Factory is able to cater to all makes, models and budgets. We are the home of Ceramic Pro UK and offer a variety of different paint protection and ceramic coating packages.
We are able to supply and install our self-healing paint protection film to all manor of vehicles. We undertake jobs from front end PPF to entire car PPF.
Paint Protection Film virtually eliminates the risk of stone chips, scratches and paint damage to your car, while helping to retain its residual value. Made from optically clear, extremely tough urethane film, a digitally-designed, bespoke template for your car will be fitted by our specially-trained installers, to achieve the protection you need for your bumpers, headlights, wings, wing mirrors and bonnet. You can even choose to have your whole car covered for total peace of mind. We have a multitude of pre-cut patterns for thousands of makes and models and we are even able to tailor our film to rarer cars and motorbikes.
All of our PPF films come with a 5 year warranty against yellowing, cracking or lifting – please contact us for full terms and conditions.
Our detailing partners Ceramic Pro UK are on site to carry all manor of detailing services to your vehicle. From paint correction and interior reconnolising, to their signature ceramic coatings.

Valuations & Inspections
With Duke of London, you can have your vehicle objectively and professionally valued, whether buying, selling, insuring or just for a second opinion. These written valuations are based on information and photographs you provide and do not require us to inspect the car. If you’d like to have more than five cars valued at once, a collection rate applies.
We are also able to carry out pre-purchase inspections for you for your peace of mind before buying your next vehicle. Our combined knowledge and experience enable us to factually report back on your next purchase and our written report and advice can help you make sure you are making the right choice.
Restoration:
“The Romance of Rust”
With a combined 53 years of experience in the classic car restoration business, the McCormack family are well versed in restoring your pride and joy to its former glory.
Headed up by Merlin’s father, Lance McCormack, Duke of London’s restoration wing is situated in their premises The Old Stables, opposite The Factory. Lance began at Rolls-Royce’s Mulliner Park-Ward coachbuilders in West London as an apprentice in 1976. Mastering the necessary skills as a panel beater He soon climbed the ranks to become Final Inspector on the production line by the ripe old age of 26.
In 1990 he opened the doors to his own classic car restoration and metalwork business and has been integral in countless high profile restorations including John Lennon’s Rolls-Royce Phantom VI, Walt Disney’s Ferrari 250 Tour de France and many other Concours winning cars.
Merlin’s brother, Algy McCormack, joined the business in 2014 fresh out of education. Now an accomplished panel beater, fabricator and mechanic in his own right, Algy is on board to oversee the day to day operations and plays a big role in the metalwork at Duke of London.
We are able to offer full metal work restoration services including (but not limited to!) rust repair, crash repair, bare metal resprays, paintwork, custom and bespoke metalwork; automotive, architectural, artwork and otherwise.
We can project manage your vehicle’s restoration from start to finish, liaising and overseeing the work of our network of specialist subcontractors with whom we have decades worth of relationships.
We can project manage all logistics relating to the transportation of the car to and from ourselves for strip, metalwork and refit and to our network of specialist subcontractors with whom we have decades worth of relationships and experience. We will advise on the evaluation, selection and appointment of said specialists, and supervising and coordinating their work until final handover.
