Elferspot Experience – The Alps-Crossing – North to South
Driven by passion. Powered by “Elferspot Experience”
After years of matching up Porsche 911s with new happy owners we have taken the step to offer experiences to match the sheer passion and commitment between all the 911 fans around the world. There are plenty of driving experiences on offer in the market but we at Elferspot have chosen a route that follows our market space – so we offer trips in well prepared Porsche 911s going to locations you normally would never go with your own Porsche 911.
We have teamed up with Kalmar Beyond Adventure to ensure high level of uniqueness and spot on quality with their unique driving adventures. Welcome to our bespoke Elferspot Experience.
The Alps-Crossing South Bound
Charging down a steep Alp gravel road is something very few people have ever tried, and then in a classic air-cooled Porsche? That’s unique. The Alps are the highest and most extensive mountain range in Europe. Of course, the highest point – Mont Blanc with its 4,810 meters – is on our route. But unfortunately, there are no roads to the top, so instead, you go under the mountain!
The Alps have so much to offer. Amazing gravel roads, small mountain passes, beautiful villages, its own flora and fauna and never-ending astonishing views. It is very well known to many travelers. But right next to the crowded tourist routes Beyond Adventure Alps Crossing will take you to breathtaking gravel paths that pave the way from one mountain pass to another. Surprising spots where endless snaking roads are hidden between the 100 Alps’ peaks higher than 4,000 meters.
And as if the scenery is not enough – we turn up the experience with our unique cars offered. You can choose between our specially developed Porsche sports cars. We offer Porsche 964, 993, 996 and Cayman R Beyond Adventure RS editions with their special terrain set-up. You can also choose Porsche Cayenne E1 & E2 Beyond Adventure CS editions, developed after many world record drives across continents. Where else is this possible?
I could not believe what sort of roads were to be found right next to the main tourists routes over the Alps.
Jan Kalmar, founder Beyond Adventure
The South-Bound
3 countries and 10 mountain passes tell only a small part of the story. This is the more off-road oriented of the 2 Beyond Adventure Alps alternatives. You arrive at Geneva International Airport and take our 1-hour shuttle from there. If you choose to arrive earlier, then just let us know. Special shuttle service can be arranged.
It is highly recommended to take time to explore the beauty of the Mount Blanc with the opportunity to climb the 1,000 meters up to the Montenvers-Mer de Glace attraction with the famous little red railway train. Alternatively, hop in a cable car. That will take you up to an altitude of over 3,800 meters. From there, you can oversee the seracs, the Pélerins glacier and the hanging glaciers on the north face of the Aiguille du Midi. Experience this extreme altitude!
Individual Approach
For us the experience must be distinctive – we supply the best service wherever we go but never lose the flexibility and individual approach. Therefore have we developed an unique classic rally-style driving concept for Beyond Adventure, not competing for the fastest time but instead for the most precise timing. This means you drive and navigate by yourself independently. Of course, the support team is always close by and for the most challenging stages, the entire group stays together.
The Alps-Crossing – simply an exciting, unique and so unexpected drive on incredible roads through stunning mountain scenery. A fantastic unforgettable driving experience that exceeded our expectations by far – we can’t wait for the next adventure to come.

Let the adventure begin!
The program, day by day
Day 1
Our Adventure starts in Megéve Mount Blanc, the world’s capital of winter alpine sports and outdoor life. When arrived at the hotel, enjoy the view towards the mighty Alps as a small appetizer for the amazing views to come. A welcome briefing, including car and team introduction, will take place before our welcome dinner. Now it’s time to relax before the driving begins tomorrow.
Hotel: MAGIC MEGÈVE
Day 2
Let the driving Adventure begin! Today, finally you can start your engine. The day is packed with extraordinary landscapes and experiences. In the morning you will head for the skies but still on tarmac roads. Enjoy it while you can as soon that will change. The surface will transform into gravel roads connecting the mountain ranges, letting you explore your skills and limitations of the cars.
The route may be short in distance but rich in breathtaking views, action-packed roads and full of places unknown to most. It will certainly give you memories that will last forever. Enjoy a picnic on the go and keep exploring new routes and landscapes off the beaten path.
Hotel: LE VAL D’ISÈRE
Day 3
Prepare yourself for a day full of snaking gravel roads, challenging you to reach limits for both you and your safari Porsche. Remember that to finish first – first, you have to finish! So take good care of your car and your heartbeat. Head to Col du Sommeiller, with its 3,300 meter altitude making it one of the highest drivable roads in the Alps.
At the top, you will enjoy your picnic lunch next to the stunning turquoise blue lake and wait for people asking: “How did you get here in this car?” Steer back down towards the valley. Afterwards, you start climbing over a low pass before the real navigation challenge starts when you need to find your “own” way over the Col du Granon mountain pass. Heads up – keep going when you see the “no entry” sign! Relax in the heart of the Alps after a day full of driving, wowed and exhilarated by the beautiful mountain views.
Hotel: LE MONÊTIER
Day 4
After a day right on the limit of what is possible, we will circle the Parc National des Écrins. There, the high peaks and random glassier will show themselves if weather allows. A day of narrow mountain roads and spectacular views on the entire drive awaits you. The drive will require some navigation skills, though. After not too many kilometers to cover the day wraps up at a one-of-a-kind overnight spot.
Hotel: ALPIN D’HÔME
Day 5
How is it possible to top four days of breathtaking nature and exhilarating driving? Well, get ready for today! After a short backtrack, you’ll rev up to Col d’Izoard. After this quick warm-up, you will be tackling the big climb to the Col du Parpaillon, reminiscent of Hannibal’s journey with his elephants. Here, you’ll encounter the 520-meter tunnel, the highest in Europe, carved out of the mountain. This is an essential stop for all modern explorers!
Your lunch can be enjoyed on the sunny side of the tunnel before you work your way along one of the most amazing tracks you can imagine. Don’t forget to have your cameras ready and be prepared for a view that will certainly take your breath away in addition to the rather thin air. After a stunning driving day enjoy well-deserved time out before an even more thrilling day tomorrow.
Hotel: HOTEL 16-150
Day 6
Today is all in the name of rallying and racing. Setting off from the hotel marks the start of amazing hairpins at thrilling roads. After reaching Col de Turini we have a short lunch stop before we start the drive down the famous stages from Rally Monte Carlo. We will also do a loop of the F1 track where your by-now dusty car will attract more attention than all the supercars in the buzzing town. This is a good grand finale of the driving program before parking the cars right in the city centre of Monte-Carlo.
At the hotel, we’ll announce the rally winners in a city known for its iconic rally, all while enjoying our farewell dinner, ideally outdoors under the Mediterranean sky. It is the time to say “See you next time” to all the similar-minded Adventurers whom you have shared this unique experience with.
Hotel: HERMITAGE MONTE-CARLO
Day 7
Enjoy a late start of the day before you head towards the airport or enjoy a few extra days in this wonderful spot. You can be shuttled to the Nice International Airport by the team for an easy departure by car or take the convenient Helicopter shuttle between the Principality of Monaco and the airport.
The cars – Choose your own adventure
It’s your choice! So, what are you most comfortable with? Choose from our proven Beyond Adventure fleet of safari rally inspired Porsches that will suit you best. Let us know which you prefer, or partner with another team and swap cars when you like.
Sports cars
The sports cars (911 and Cayman) have a rear roll-cage, sports seats, raised suspension with rally-specification shock absorbers, tall gravel tires and full under-body protection. There’s a special spare tyre holder and of course, the cooling box behind the seats (not the Cayman).
Porsche KALMAR RS
A light, tough hardcore gravel car that’s at home in the harshest conditions – just remember it’s not the most comfortable car. It’s a true work horse. Air-conditioning is working when we set off. Five or six speed manual transmission. Just 1300kg and 260-290bhp, it’s something else!
Porsche KALMAR RS-6
A more comfortable version of the KALMAR RS and with a water-cooled engine. Good on the long straight roads for sure. Significantly more complex than the RS but has more to offer when treated gently. Six-speed manual transmission, 1425kg ready to go and 300bhp.
Porsche KALMAR RS-C
The new kid on the block – Two luggage compartments but no fridge! It’s the most comfortable and most modern sportscar in the fleet with the PDK gearbox. Fast and agile but worth noting it’s not as tough as some of the others. 1400kg and 326bhp.
Cayennes
The Cayennes with raised suspension and larger, more suitable off-road tires. They also have full under-body protection, roof rack, fridge, and recovery gear to make even the most difficult stages possible. We will use modern tablet navigation so you will never be lost, and we have our satellite-based safety system with all the necessary functions you’ll need.
Porsche Cayenne KALMAR CS
The most comfortable car from the range. You might turn less heads but it feels like a magic carpet ride. Don’t forget these have working air-conditioning all the time.
Porsche Cayenne KALMAR CS-R
The most off-road capable car from the fleet, huge weight reduction from fitting sport seats and the removal of most comfort gear means this car is not the ordinary SUV. Low range and differential locks mean you can go almost anywhere with this car.
Can’t decide? We can help pick the right car that will suit you best.
Bring Your own Safari Porsche
As the off-road Porsche sportscar scene has increased significantly especially with the arrival of almost 2500 units of the Porsche 911 Dakar. Additionally, there’s a lots of small series producers offering off-road-prepared Porsches of all kind. Maybe you already have your own specially prepared off-road Porsche sportscar.
Just like the huge interest in upgrading the great Porsche Cayenne means there are plenty of equal-minded enthusiasts out there and all are more than welcome! We simply hope to gather a bigger group of Porsches going on this adventure. We will need to get a detailed description of the car and will most likely inspect the car personally. Because we know what is needed from a Porsche to make it to the finish line.
We will service and maintain it like it was “our own” but there will be some spare challenges possibly. If you want us to build a car for you, then this is also no problem, just let us know. The cost of running our fleet cars will be deducted from your entry fee, but the cost for the service team and fuel will still be carried by you. All spares needed on the trip will be invoiced separately at the cost price. Please contact us for more detailed information! We have been doing these trips for 15 years now and are happy to see more and more using these cars away from the boring tarmac roads.
