911 Dakar Owners Club – Dakar Rally & Goodwood Festival of Speed
Hans van de Ven and Niels Schoenmakers founded the 911 Dakar Owners Club in 2023. Together with the members of their very exclusive car club, they want to create unforgettable experiences in the only off-road capable Porsche 911. In 2024, the 911 Dakar Owners Club will start with a rally through Limburg and a six-day rally to the Festival of Speed in Goodwood.
June 16, 2024 – 911 Dakar Owners Club Rally – Limburg/Zolder
Ferry Porsche once said that the 911 is the only car in which you are just as much at home on an African safari as on a tarmac circuit. This is exactly what the 911 Dakar Owners Club has made the motto of the first event. On June 16, 2024, the members will come together at Circuit Zolder. The world’s first exclusive Porsche 911 Dakar Rally will be held there as part of Petrolhead Sunday, which takes place at the same time.
The program
An exclusive area of the paddock at Circuit Zolder will be reserved for 911 Dakar Club members on arrival in the morning and will be open from 9 am. At 10 am the 911 Dakar Rally will start in the surroundings of Circuit Zolder. The most beautiful routes in Limburg and some off-road passages await the participants over a total of roughly 100 kilometers. To ensure that nobody gets lost, everyone receives a detailed road book. The 911 Dakar Owners Club has also prepared a few fun challenges. The winners can look forward to winning the Dakar Challenge. Don’t worry, it’s all about having fun and your cars will not be endangered!
As the grand finale, the former Formula 1 circuit at Zolder will be closed exclusively for the 911 Dakar Owners Club. Before the day comes to an end in the exclusive 911 Dakar Paddock at the bar, all Porsche 911 Dakar drivers will go on a parade lap. A professional photo crew will be on hand to provide the perfect (digital) souvenirs.

All participants will also receive numerous souvenirs and plenty of professional photos of the entire event.
In addition to a Porsche 911 Dakar, membership of the 911 Dakar Owners Club is a prerequisite for participation. An application for membership can be made directly when registering for the Dakar Rally.
July 10 to 15, 2024 – 911 Dakar Owners Club goes Goodwood Festival of Speed
For many car enthusiasts, the Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex, England, is at the top of the bucket list. The Festival of Speed is one of the largest and most important gatherings of the motorsport and car scene in the world. Stars of the scene, former Formula 1 drivers, rally world champions and Le Mans winners come together here.
The vehicles in which they race up the hill range from pre-war and Formula 1 cars from all eras to Porsche 911s reimagined by Singer. And nowhere else can you get so close to the cars of the heroes of today and yesteryear, so close to the heroes themselves, as at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. That is why the world-famous festival is the second destination for the 911 Dakar Owners Club 2024. A six-day rally leads from Knokke in Belgium to the Festival of Speed.
The program
Day 1 – July 10 – From Knokke to Brooklands
After breakfast at the crack of dawn, you will travel along the Belgian and French coasts. You then cross the Strait of Dover and can enjoy the view of the white chalk cliffs. Then it’s off along the most beautiful roads in central England to Brooklands – not without a traditional cup of tea, of course!
Day 2 – July 11 – Visiting Brooklands Museum
Today’s route takes you to one of the most legendary places in British motor racing history. At Brooklands Circuit, the world’s first permanent race track, you will visit the museum and have lunch. Before heading through the beautiful South Downs Park to your next hotel, a professional photo shoot awaits you at Brooklands Circuit.
Day 3 – July 12 – Cotswolds Rally
On day 3, we set off on a full-day rally along the most beautiful roads in the southwest of England. Our road book takes us through the hilly heathlands of the Cotswolds. Make sure your camera batteries are charged. Because the rally day is full of breathtaking views and at the end you’ll pass the Castle Combe and Thruxton circuits before crossing the South Downs National Park.
Day 4 & 5 – July 16 & 14 – Goodwood Festival of Speed
The time has come – the Goodwood Festival of Speed! You get VIP access for the first day and grandstand access for the second day. So you get the best combination of VIP experience and race track action. The Petrolhead tickets offer exclusive access to exciting hill climbs with unique cars from motorsport history.
Day 6 – July 15 – Journey home along the Heritage Coast
To end this trip in style, the roadbook takes you along the Heritage Coast at the end of the journey. Enjoy the white cliffs and cinematic scenery all the way to Dover Castle as you cross the Channel. Back on the mainland, there is a farewell drink together before the journey home after an unforgettable trip.
You could also opt for the Festival of Speed weekend package
