For us, the 997 is our favorite modern 911. Let's start with its beating heart: the turbocharged 3.8-liter boxer. As soon as you fire it up, you'll smile. Yes, direct injection into the combustion chamber is more efficient, but the sound of an engine with indirect injection is so much better! The stationary afterburning alone makes us enthusiasts happy! No microfilters for the Greta Committee, no speakers in the doors that make you feel like the engine is "roaring"… It's purely mechanical, without deceiving the enthusiast!
Driving a car is really driving a car. The latest 992 can propel any suitable stay-at-home dad forward quickly. Straight ahead and through the corners, no problem. The 997.1 really gives you a bit of work as a driver. Underestimate it? Then it bites. We at the DTM think that's great too!
This example is, of course, as you would expect from us. Fully serviced by a dealer and specialist, with all documentation, and completely in the original paint from the first owner. Finished in slate gray with a Carrera red leather interior. When you see it standing there, the deep dark gray has a proper feel, which at first glance makes it look like a very well-groomed lady. Upon getting in and looking inside, it turns out that the neat lady is wearing some exciting panties after all… What a treat!
