The first generation 997 Turbo uses an evolution of the 911 GT1 engine that won at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the famous Mezger engine. In the 997 the great novelty was the adoption of Variable Geometry Turbos (VTG) that greatly improved its performance. Thanks to this, its maximum power reaches 480cv offering a torque of 620Nm. Additionally, and thanks to the Sport Chrono Plus Package and the Sport button, the car is capable of increasing torque up to 680Nm for 10 seconds. This unit also has the peculiarity of having a 6-speed manual gearbox, which increases driving pleasure, something that is in great demand lately as the vast majority of current cars come with an automatic gearbox.
