The vehicle in detail

Three years after the launch of the 997-generation 911 GT2—a car which clinched the accolade of fastest street-legal 911 ever made—the exclusive GT2 RS arrived and promptly stole its thunder. The GT2 already boasted 50 horsepower above the 997 Turbo, and the GT2 RS turned that dial up to 11, offering owners access to a mind-blowing 620 horsepower. Allied to its notable increase in power, a single mass flywheel, a carbon fibre bonnet, various aluminium parts, lightweight centre-lock wheels, and even lighter carpets in the car’s cabin created a not insignificant weight saving of 68 kilograms on its GT2 stablemate.
Unquestionably the ultimate evolution of the 997-generation 911 platform, the GT2 RS is still the most powerful road-going Porsche ever fitted with a manual transmission, surpassing even the extraordinary Carrera GT. And now, close to 15 years after it was first launched, it is habitually referred to as “the widowmaker” thanks to its colossal power, light weight, and manual gearbox—and it still provides a driving experience like little else on the road.
This Cyprus-delivered GT2 RS was built to 2011 model year specification and finished in Carrara White over a Black leather and Alcantara-trimmed interior with Guards Red harnesses. It was configured with the exterior carbon fibre package, the Clubsport Package, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Black instrument and Sport Chrono dials, carbon fibre door entry guards, aluminium doors, an Alcantara headliner, gear and handbrake levers, rear wiper and sunroof delete options, silver painted wheels, bi-xenon headlights, a locking limited slip rear differential, the interior acoustic package, and clear rear light lenses.
Delivered through Porsche Centre Cyprus Nicosia in December of 2010, the car has since moved to the Middle East. The 911 was subject to a 111-point Porsche Centre check in May 2023 at 1,603 kilometres, and a major service and minor service at 1,649 and 1,768 kilometres, respectively, both performed by Porsche Centre Mussafah. The car has been fitted with a full vehicle paint protection film to preserve its condition, and it has covered a modest 1,798 kilometres at the time of cataloguing.
Numbered 206 of just 500 made, this 911 GT2 RS’s condition is as should be expected of a car with its mileage, and it will no doubt be of particular interest to marque collectors.
