The radical model from Stuttgart. A very limited edition of around 900 copies, in which the German brand intends to demonstrate all the technology and expertise of its road-legal racing department, Porsche has decided to give the GT2 model the Lightweight and Pure Power treatment. The GT2 uses lightweight materials to help reduce unnecessary weight. A new version of the twin-turbo, four cam six-cylinder and Variable Geometry technology. All this brings the engine’s power to an incredible 530hp and 680Nm of torque. This increase in power, reduction in weight and special attention paid to aerodynamics (highlighted by the GT2 RS’s imposing biplane rear spoiler) has led to dramatic increases in performance. According to Porsche itself, it boasts acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 3.7 sec, but many automotive analysts believed this to be a very conservative estimate. If one is brave enough to keep accelerating, 200 km/h would be reached in just over 11 seconds, taking the GT2 to a top speed of 300 km/h.
Performance was underpinned by the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake system, PASM adaptive suspension and stability control. Perhaps the most impressive performance for introducing the model to Super Sports enthusiasts was its lap time on the Nürburgring Nordschleife: 7 minutes and 31 seconds. It left the factory configured in CARRERA WHITE exterior color with Leather / Alcantara / Fabric interior. Equipped with a multitude of Rare factory options. These included Club Sport package 003, Porsche Carbon Fiber Backets, Sport Chrono Plus Package, PCM with Navigation and Bluetooth connectivity, Alcantara Sports Steering Wheel, Roll bar.
