The ever-collectible 997-generation 911 marked the first time Porsche’s design and engineering efforts began with the Cabriolet version, rather than the Coupe. This forward-thinking strategy addressed the complex chassis stiffness challenges of the Cabriolet and ensured the Coupe would benefit from the enhanced rigidity. This approach meant that despite the minimal added weight of the Cabriolet, it would achieve almost identical performance figures — an amazing feat, yet one typical of those Stuttgart engineers so used to hone the 911 year after year.
Completed in Stuttgart, Germany, in October 2007, this 997-generation Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet is presented in classic Carrera White over a rarely seen special-order Cocoa Natural leather interior. The car has just 46,635 miles on the odometer at the time of cataloging and a clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report. Naturally, it features Porsche’s iconic 3.6-liter flat-six engine with VarioCam that
produces 325 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Smartly equipped with the enthusiast-preferred “row your own” six-speed manual transmission, it accelerates from zero to 60 mph in a brisk 5.0 seconds, capable of reaching a top speed of 177 mph. Noteworthy additional factory-fitted options include optional 18-inch “Carrera III” wheels, Porsche Stability Management (PSM), a BOSE High-End Sound Package, a six-disc remote CD changer, heated seats, a power seat package, Bi-Xenon lighting, and wheel caps with colored crests.
Under previous ownership, the car saw regular servicing at Porsche Gold Coast of Jericho, New York. Most recently, under current ownership, the car benefits from a comprehensive major service completed in June 2023. This work was performed by a Porsche specialist, Rennsport Automotive, in Bedford Hills, New York, and included an engine, transmission, and differential oil change, new spark plugs, new coil packs, new belts, and a fresh battery. Additionally, faded taillights were replaced along with the installation of clear side markers, all of which were sourced directly from Porsche. Finally, the shifter was upgraded with a short-throw Rennline shifter for a crisper shifting and engaging driving experience. The car has an aftermarket stereo head unit installed, with the original factory unit included with the sale. With its recent major service and six-speed manual, this collectible, low-mileage Carrera Cabriolet is sure to charm those in search of a modern 911 in an elegant color combination with top-down enjoyment.
