Porsche 997.2 Turbo S

Porsche 997.2 Turbo S

Cabriolet, 2011

Highlights

  • Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB)
  • RS Spyder Rims
  • Porsche Communications Management (PCM)

Porsche’s wonderful 997 Turbo S is one of our absolute favorites at Garage-11. Somewhere it feels like the most optimal of all worlds. On paper, it seems simple. 530 hp, four-wheel drive and PDK box. This alone is a winning recipe but the 997 Turbo S offers so much more than just what is expected. This applies in particular to this example…

The vehicle in detail

The exterior here goes in classic Meteor grey. A gray metallic color that clearly highlights the car’s beautiful shapes without shouting with too strong a colour. The RS Spyder rims in silver hide the very contrast of the exterior in the yellow calipers from the PCCB brakes. Otherwise, it is toned down, clean and elegant. all of these words correlate well with the ethos behind the Turbo S. A bodybuilder in a tuxedo. But the exterior of this Turbo S cab is only half the story…if even that.

Well, here it is the interior that is in focus. Namely, it is during the 997.2 generation that Porsche really chooses to expand the list of options. They expand with a number of different options, some more popular than others. And this is exactly where this car stands out on the market. 21 separate leather package options. Maybe a record, even for us. Fan slots, surrounds, defroster, steering column, kickplate… well pretty much all the panels that you normally don’t think of are made of plastic are here covered in leather. Even the door handles and the panel for the PCM module in the center console. Everything elegantly sewn in with exposed seams. And despite all this leather, it’s NOT the first thing you see when you open the door… Your eyes fall directly on the trim. Normally in a 997 is an aluminum finish or maybe carbon fiber in a GT car in this Turbo S everything is dressed in a finish that Porsche themselves call Makassar. A dark wooden inlay that is extremely rare. Here too, panels have been chosen that deviate from the norm. The outlets for belts, for example.

To say that the interior of this car feels special is a gross understatement.

The car is sold in Sweden and has been in the same ownership since 2013 and has since driven approximately 6500 km. Always serviced at an authorized workshop and cared for like a child. A total of 40410 km since the car left the factory. Two actual users.
