Model history
In 2005, Porsche expanded the 997 series to include the Carrera S, which boasted a 3.8-liter engine and an increase in power of 29 hp (21 kW) compared to the basic version. The Carrera S was equipped with PASM (dynamically adjustable dampers), 19-inch wheels, an improved braking system and a sports exhaust. It was available as a coupe, cabriolet and targa and offered a perfect balance of sportiness and everyday usability.
