Finished in classic Basalt Black, this example shows clear tendencies toward a car that is more focused on the journey. The low body sits aggressively over the Carrera Sport’s gorgeous 19-inch wheels. The front end, which is largely the same as its GT3 sister car, has been given a more aggressive lip compared to the simpler variants of the 997, while at the rear a simple “Carrera GTS” badge and four pipes at the bottom identify the factory-fitted sports exhaust.
The interior is clearly distinguishable from the 997. Here, the emphasis is on simplicity and driving as entertainment. If you want more, the car offers PCM with wireless connectivity. Black leather covers most of the interior with visible stitching on the instrument panel and doors. The red seat belts provide a nice contrast. The sport seats proudly display the embossed Porsche Crest in the headrest.
A wonderful example sold in Sweden of one of the best cars Porsche has to offer, with beautiful miles and an equally beautiful history, and in a timeless interior. The 997 stands on a razor-sharp edge between an almost classic Porsche and a modern sports car, and few variants demonstrate driving pleasure better than the Carrera GTS.
