2011 PORSCHE 997 CARRERA GTS CONVERTIBLE

‘Collection by Vermant’ is pleased to be able to offer you this beautiful Porsche 997 Carrera 2 GTS. This GTS is equipped with its original engine and gearbox and has the coveted rear-wheel drive. The rear-wheel drive and the convertible roof make the car a rare appearance with 1,863 copies produced. The car was delivered new by Porsche Centrum Gelderland on June 18, 2011 to its first owner. In 2013, the car was then bought by the second and last owner and came to Belgium. During the ten years and 2 owners, the car has always been properly maintained on time by Official Porsche service points. In addition to carrying out the maintenance neatly, both owners have maintained the car maniacally. This means that the car is still in absolute mint condition and also completely in its first paint.

The vehicle in detail

This GTS is finished in Carrara white with a black leather interior. If we look further at the exterior, we find a black convertible roof, this together with the black centerlock rims and GTS sports exhausts provides a nice contrast to the Carrara white paint. On the outside we can also find some options. This car is equipped with a windscreen with gray band, rear parking sensors and bi-xenon headlights. Mechanically, two important options are checked on the car. For example, a 90L petrol tank has been chosen on the one hand and a mechanical differential lock on the other. This gives the car an even sportier handling.

In the interior, the first owner has chosen to indicate almost all possible options. This makes the car ideal for daily use, holidays abroad or even winter rides with the roof open. To give the interior a sporty look, a Carbon fiber finish has been chosen. This is not only limited to the inlay panels in the interior, but also occurs on the door sills.

The options list contains the following options:

  • Park Assistant (rear parking aid)

  • Without model designation

  • Mechanical differential lock on the rear axle

  • 90L petrol tank

  • Seat heating in the front

  • Porsche emblem in the headrests

  • Interieurpakket Carbon

  • Bose Surround Sound System

  • Bluetooth telephone modules

  • Windshield with gray band

  • Bi-Xenon headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System

  • Sport Chrono package plus

  • Porsche double clutch (PDK)

  • Homelink

  • Adaptive seats with memory

  • Door sills in Carbon

  • Navigation modules

  • Universal audio interface

In 2010, Porsche presents to the world the latest version of their iconic 911, the GTS. The GTS designation comes from the 904 GTS, which won the 1964 Targa Florio with Baron Antonio Pucci at the wheel. In this period GTS was an indication that a very sporty car had been given extra comfort. When the GTS designation returned to the 997, the emphasis was on just the opposite. The GTS, which stands for Gran Turismo Sport, turned the standard 911 into an even sportier car. This was made possible by some optical adjustments, but also some mechanical upgrades.

Mechanically, the 3.8L Boxer engine has been given a power upgrade in the form of the X51 pack. This increases the power by 23HP, compared to the Carrera S, to a total of 408HP. This power is transferred to the rear wheels via a PDK (Porsche Doppel kupplungsgetriebe) gearbox. In order to convert the power into sound, the GTS has been given a newly developed sports exhaust. A central wheel nut was chosen for mounting the rims, something that is mainly found on racing cars today.

Aesthetically, some adjustments have also been made to the GTS version of the 911. For example, a sportier front bumper has been mounted, which can also be found on the Sport Classic and the Speedster. In the interior we find the Sport Chrono as standard, together with some Alcantara elements.
