Special technology
Two pieces of good news. Firstly, the turbo uses a derivative of the legendary Mezger engine as used in the 911 GT1 Le Mans race car and the 996 GT3. Secondly, it means it doesn't come with the M96 engine found in most 996s, which is known for possible intermediate shaft bearing (IMS) damage.
The 996 turbo had one of the most powerful braking systems used in sports cars at the time. 330 mm front and rear brake discs, a four-channel ABS system and a 10-inch vacuum brake booster enabled braking power that was approximately four times the engine power.
Equipment and options
This 996 turbo is very well equipped and has all the important options such as: rain sensor, rear window wiper, Bose sound system, cruise control, electric seats, full leather interior and a sunroof. The previous owner pampered the car and the interior is clean, undamaged and still smells fresh. The Porsche Classic PCCM was installed as the icing on the cake. This modern system with a retro design offers a 7.0-inch screen with access to DAB+ radio and an integrated navigation system, as well as features such as Apple CarPlay and Google Android Aut

The maintenance in 2020 was carried out very extensively by the Porsche Classic Center Gelderland, including a full technical inspection, a brake overhaul (photo documentation), a major service including spark plugs, PCCM Plus installed. In addition, damping plates, shock absorbers, ball bearings and support bearings were replaced. Maintenance in 2022 was also carried out by the Porsche Classic Center Gelderland, where the turbos were overhauled, the Airo was refilled and regular maintenance was carried out. The invoices for this are available. With this 996 turbo you can drive into the future without any worries!
Performance
The coupé with all-wheel drive and 5-speed Tiptronic only needs 4.9 seconds to sprint from 0-100 km/h. It takes 10.6 seconds to reach 160 km/h and the top speed is 298 km/h. This is what the official Porsche information says, which is known to be very conservative.
