This 4S was delivered new in Italy on the 23th of July in 2004 to its first owner. It stayed in Italy for some years and was subsequently imported into Belgium in the beginning of 2013 to its first Belgian owner. In december of 2014, the car was then subsequently sold to a large Belgian collector. Under his possession, the car has only covered a mere 70 km. He really treasured the car and stored the car in the best of conditions. The low mileage of the car and optimal storage conditions make that this car is still in immaculate condition throughout and a unique find. Today, this 996 4S is still completely original and finished in its original and first paint throughout.
When looking at the exterior of this 4S, we can find the beautiful colour of Nachtblau. This is a very dark blue metallic colour that accentuates the line of the 4S beautifully and gives the car a very discrete but also timeless appearance. On the front of the car, we can find the 4S/ Turbo specific front bumper with the revised headlight assembly for the second generation of the 996. To aid in the usability of the car, the first owner specified the car with the Litronic Xenon headlights and the optional washer system. This brings the car back up to par with more recent models in terms of light output. On the side of the car we can find the beautiful 4S/Turbo wheels with red coloured brake calipers.
Back in 2004, the colour of the brake caliper did not only serve aesthetic purposes, but was option based. On a car with steel brake rotors, the brake calipers were finished in red. On cars with the optional Ceramic Brakes, the calipers were finished in Yellow. This was fixed by the factory and couldn’t be specified any other way. On the back of the car, we can find the 4S specific red strip that connects the rear lights together. This was first introduced on the 993 variant and has since been featured on every single 4S variant up until the 992 series. Furthermore, we can find the optional Parking sensors on the rear, to aid in the day to day usability of the car.
When going over to the interior of this 4S, we can find a beautiful full leather interior, finished in the colour of Natural Brown. This is a very rare interior colour on the 996 and works extremely well with the dark blue exterior colour of this 4S. The first owner really went all out when ordering this car and ticked almost every box of interior options available. Almost every single interior panel has been optioned with a leather finish and this gives the car a very premium feel. The leather chosen for the interior was the more exclusive and supple Raff Leather, which was available through the Sonderwunsch Program (Porsche Exclusive). This still presents beautifully and is in almost new condition with only minimal signs of wear throughout. Going over to the multimedia system, we can find the optional Porsche Communication Management. As an addition to the PCM system, a navigation module, telephone module and a CD changer were also optioned. To communicate the aforementioned options, a Bose Surround sound system is present for the ultimate experience.
