The 993 Targa is a very rare sight. Its glass roof conveys a unique, open driving experience and forms the exciting niche between coupe and convertible.
This example particularly stands out due to its features and key data: This Porsche 993 Targa in the color combination polar silver metallic with dark blue interior was delivered on April 12, 1996 by the Porsche Center Hegau-Bodensee. The first owner owned the vehicle until July 2003 when the second and last owner, an engineer from Ulm, took over. The condition is impressive: the measured paint values still correspond to the level of the factory paintwork without any noticeable (accident) damage or significant wear. With the exception of one time in 2015, vehicle maintenance was carried out exclusively in Porsche centers. The car most recently received extensive annual and vehicle maintenance including a brake fluid change at the Porsche Center Nuremberg-Fürth-Erlangen on August 7th, 2023 at km 114,765. In addition, all pending and preventive work was also completed in the PZ there. The original logbook with checkbook and also the documentation of the history are complete and in the original.
The exterior color polar silver metallic is interesting, its slight blue shimmer comes into its own depending on the light and harmonizes perfectly with the interior color.
Due to the consistent care, the car is in an almost flawless state of preservation – not least due to the recently carried out extensive maintenance and the overhaul of the targa roof, as well as the original two-piece rims. The special equipment includes, among other things, seat heating for the driver and front passenger. In addition, a current Porsche classic radio was installed. The original radio is also still there and is part of this comprehensive overall package, as is the original on-board tool kit.
The interior is also very well maintained and in original condition with almost no wear and tear.
The fascination of the targa roof is also its weak point. We therefore overhauled it as a precautionary measure, protecting it against rust, overhauling the engines and taking care of leaks.
The documentation from the TÜV receipts to the last service invoice, as well as the logbook with all documents including a checkbook and the complete set of keys are available.
Conclusion: A 993 Targa in the first paint from German delivery, 20 years in second hand, is extremely rare to find in this very good condition. This exceptional example shows hardly any visual or technical signs of wear and tear and is therefore an ideal vehicle for collectors and drivers alike. The “Full Package” is perfect thanks to the consistent history and the current, very extensive maintenance.
