The air-cooled Porsche 993 Carrera was arguably Porsche’s finest ever incarnation of the legendary 911 series, (993 is the company’s internal number for the version of the Porsche 911 model manufactured and sold between late 1993 and early 1998). Its discontinuation marked the end of air-cooled Porsches, with the 993 being not just the last air-cooled 911, but also the last of the hand-built 911 series. They are looked upon as the best-ever series of the iconic 911 in the eyes of many collectors.
Benefitting with technical innovations, the 993 produced 272 BHP. The 0-62 mph time is achieved in just 5.6 seconds and the top speed is 168 mph. The power of the car is its key safety feature. The impressive flexibility of the engine and its generous torque gives ample reserves of power. You can frequently find yourself driving one or two gears higher than in other cars, thanks to the engine’s wide power band. It also boasts a multi-link rear axle and ABS 5 braking system, for superb road holding to complement its outstanding performance.
Supplied new by Glenvarigill Porsche, Edinburgh in April 1995, this 993 Carrera is presented in wonderful condition, with an excellent history file, original leather driver’s book pack, and stamped service book, spare key and the MOT certificates dating back to1998. The 993 will also be supplied with a written 12-month warranty.
