Porsche 911 (992) GT3 Touring

One of the most advanced Elfers in the classiest configuration: this ultra-beautiful, fuller than full Porsche 992 4.0 GT3 Touring has a manual transmission and an options list that would not look out of place among the thickest novels in the library. With 6,200 km of experience, the 911 GT3 Touring has barely been run in. It was only 2 years ago that Porsche Centrum Rotterdam delivered it new. Pure as the GT3 is, full bucket seats (original pads are also present), Sport Chrono, PCCB and a carbon package were fitted ex-factory. At the same time, the luxury horses lack nothing thanks to an extensive leather package, ParkAssistent with camera, Bose Surround Sound, HomeLink garage door opener and LED headlights including PDLS+. The 90 liter fuel tank is also there for a reason: when you are propelled by 510 exciting horses, you don’t know when to stop…

The vehicle in detail

Exterior

The GT3 is originally by far the purest Porsche 911 you could wish for. In Zuffenhausen, however, they take into account the evolution of the purists’ wish list. Because how can an enthusiast enjoy a car like the latest generation 992 4.0 GT3 for as long and as much as possible? Exactly: by making it more forgiving and then adding the word Touring to it. The gigantic and secretly also somewhat flashy rear wing can thus be omitted. Painted in Dolomite Silver metallic, this example remains close to its roots, by giving the Elfer a traditional, no-nonsense look. Including silver-colored GT3 wheels, chrome window frame + type designation + tailpipes of the double central exhaust and – yes – a lightweight roof made entirely of carbon. Also dark in color are the enormous diffuser, tinted windows at the rear and high-gloss black brake calipers that bite into PCCB (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake) discs. Tradition is beautiful, but there must be differences…

Interior
The difference is also made clear in the cockpit of the Porsche 911 4.0 GT3 Touring: the full bucket seats including race-tex belt feed-through are partly covered in black leather and feature a classic diamond pattern in Tartan black with red & white stripes (original pads are included). The dashboard, door panels, steering column, sun visors, slats and air vents of the ventilation system also have a leather finish. Opposite this luxury is a hardcore carbon interior package that points to the pure racing genes of the GT3. However, this is a Touring, and so there is attention to details such as a sprayed car key delivered in a leather key case. Indian red belts, stitching in a different color and a Light Design package add cheerful tones to the seriously tough interior of the Porsche 992 GT3 Touring. The embossed Porsche emblem in the center armrest reminds you that the relax position can be quite attractive from time to time. Although you are constantly challenged to more…

Options & extras
Reasons for this include the Sport Chrono package, the aforementioned ceramic brakes, LED headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+) and the 90-litre fuel tank. The fact that even with a pure machine like the GT3, it doesn’t always have to be about speed is proven by the ParkAssistent with camera, Bose Surround Sound System and the – yes really – storage compartment package. Although at Prins we will never encourage you to take a lot with you, no matter how long the journey is. After all, more weight means less performance! On the other hand: even when idle, this Elfer is at its best: a HomeLink garage door opener, indoor cover and connection for the trickle charger make parking extra comfortable.

Technology & performance
The word ‘stables’ does not come to mind when the 510 horses are unleashed onto the asphalt via the rear axle. A PDK transmission is conspicuous by its absence. In this 992 GT3, the old-fashioned hard work is still going on as soon as the 0-100 km/h sprint is completed in 3.9 seconds. The top speed of 320 km/h is also 2 km/h higher than that of the automatic version thanks to lower vehicle weight. The drive is provided by an atmospheric (!) 4.0-litre 6-cylinder boxer engine. The characteristic rumble that the turbo-free (thankfully, they still exist!) power source produces makes you realise that a pure Porsche experience is all you need…

Kind regards,
team Prins
