The Porsche 992 is the latest evolution of the legendary 911. Its design is one of the reasons why the two-door sports coupe has become a true icon. And it is precisely in this respect that the current model excels: The silhouette is graceful and rounded, the surfaces are wonderfully smooth, and the corners are tighter than ever. The latter is particularly typical of this generation of the Porsche 911. Over the years, the hips have grown thicker, and this certainly applies to the Carrera 4S Cabriolet on your screen. The SportDesign front bumper and the 20/21-inch (front/rear) Carrera S wheels feature the same Deep Black Metallic finish as the rest of the body. It gives the 911 a particularly wild look. Or rather, incredibly attractive. Neither the fabric roof nor the tailpipes of the sports exhaust can escape the black covering that has been placed over the 4S Cabriolet. The red brake calipers make it even more visually striking. By emphasizing its enormous stopping power, it's clear to any mortal that the 992 can be outrageously rough.
Interior
Those who want to experience this for themselves can enter a particularly luxurious interior equipped with an extended leather package. The majority of it is covered in Mojave Beige leather – including the sports seats. But the black leather trim on the upper part of the dashboard and steering wheel makes our Porsche 992 4S Cabriolet two-tone. The layout is recognizably (and) simple, the large digital instruments and screens are ultra-modern. The good old 911 era has clearly not stood still here! That tradition can be just as refreshing, however, is proven by the famous Porsche crest in the headrests and the analog tachometer, which has taken up its familiar central position in the panel directly in front of the driver.
Options & Extras
Those who pass on this stunningly beautiful 992 Carrera 4S won't have to think twice about recreating their own perfect seating position. The memory function of the electric driver's seat saves your settings and those of your partner, for example. But you don't have to sit behind the heated steering wheel to experience the superior comfort of our Porsche: Both sports seats can be heated and cooled! Furthermore, all passengers can enjoy the Bose Surround Sound System + Apple CarPlay or the incredible soundtrack from the sports exhaust. The latter, of course, can only be operated by the driver, as can the rear-axle steering, the front lift system, and the LED matrix headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+) for the optimal light cone in all conditions. Adaptive cruise control, parking assistant + surround-view camera, lane departure warning with speed limit display, and lane change assistant help keep the 911 in lane. Porsche Entry & Drive and Sport Chrono indicate the low threshold for getting up to speed…
Technology & Performance
The stopwatch never lies: Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in the Porsche 992 Carrera 4S Cabriolet, combined with the superior PDK automatic transmission, takes 3.8 seconds. The 450 horses only stop accelerating at 304 km/h (189 mph). They are the result of a magnificent feat of engineering: You don't have to drive a 911 Turbo to be able to say that your 911 features (bi-)turbo technology. Fortunately, the 3.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine is no less distinctive, which is due, among other things, to the sound of the sports exhaust. Are you ready to be swept away by modern Porsche history?
