The 2019 Porsche 991 Speedster was presented as a limited edition model to celebrate Porsche’s 70th anniversary. The car is based on the 991.2-generation 911 and combines the chassis and engine of the 911 GT3 with a unique, open body. The Speedster is powered by a 4.0-litre atmospheric six-cylinder boxer engine producing 510 hp, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Only 1,948 examples were produced, referring to Porsche’s founding year (1948). The car is distinguished by a lowered window frame, a shorter windscreen, a specially developed lightweight fabric hood and various lightweight components such as carbon fibre panels.
