The latest 911 Speedster is a tribute to the dream that Ferry Porsche had 70 years ago, they describe it, in the brochure. The Speedster name has been associated with our brand, Porsche, for decades. It has always been a special Porsche. But as special as it is now, it has never been special in terms of technology. This really is everything you are looking for in an ultimate sports car, if you ask us. It can be recognized by its lower windshield, lower silhouette and insane rear end, which is unmistakably speedster. In terms of engine, it is truly special. A 4.0 liter 510 hp engine that comes straight from the GT3 RS ven even revs up to 9,000 rpm, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission is just magisterial. If you then factor in its weight savings, so many parts are made of carbon and aluminum, you arrive at a weight of just 1,465 pounds, which makes it so agile that you forget you’re on the road with such a big 911. Of course, this is due to all those wonderful things like a co-steering rear axle, Porsche Torque Vectoring, a 25 mm lowered adjustable sports suspension, dynamic engine mounts and even Ceramic brake discs, all present on the most extraordinary Speedster of all time. By the way, the convertible top is unprecedentedly easy to open, which is also new for a Speedster.
