- perfect condition of presentation and operation
The 991 copies of the 911 R were torn off before the general public learned of its existence, frustrating many fans of the brand. A year and a half later, Porsche offered to console themselves with a declination of the GT3 which has all a R, except the limited edition.
Renewing with the name Pack Touring, inaugurated in 1973 by the legendary 911 RS 2.7, this variant of the GT3 would address: “fans of sports cars that have a weakness for clean lines and an immoderate taste for the pleasure of conduct”.
If, from the front, the differences with the original GT3 are tenuous, the rear is relieved of the large fixed wing, replaced the more modest and retractable appendage of the 911 Carrera. A GT3 Touring logo is affixed to the grille of the engine hood.
In its wiser finery, this 911 GT3 Touring retains the 6 cylinder 500 hp, the ultimate atmospheric block of the range. Another cultural exception that will delight purists, the presence of a six-speed mechanical gearbox. The performances are obviously at the rendezvous: 316 km / h peak and a 0 to 100 km / h in 3.9 s.
