The 991.2 GT2 RS was officially launched by Porsche at the 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed and took the world by storm with its phenomenal headline figures. Powered by a 3.8L twin-turbocharged flat-six producing 691hp at 7,000rpm and 750Nm (553lbft) of torque, it was and still is the most powerful production 911 variant ever built. Unlike the previous GT2 versions, this car is fitted with a 7-speed PDK transmission to handle the excessive torque produced from the engine, which helps get the car to 60mph in just 2.7 seconds and gives it a top speed of 213mph, making it both the quickest to 60 and fastest overall production 911 to this day as well!

The vehicle in detail

It’s small wonder this generation of the widow maker is such a monster. Thanks to the roof being made of magnesium (upgraded to carbon fibre in Weissach examples such as this), front lid, front and rear wings, and boot lid made of carbon fibre, front and rear apron made of lightweight polyurethane, rear and side windows made of polycarbonate, and an exhaust system made of titanium, the reduced weight combined with the massive power kept in check by cutting edge traction control systems allowed it to get around the Nürburgring in 6.47.30 – 31 seconds faster than its 997 predecessor!

The car we have the absolute pleasure of retailing is specified with a host of CXX options on top of the standard level of equipment GT2s with Weissach Package and Clubsport Package benefitted from, including dash, door trims, air vents surrounds, dash surrounds, steering column, and more besides trimmed in extended leather with extended contrast stitching and colour-matched air vents. It also benefits PDLS Plus, Cruise Control, Reversing Camera, BOSE Surround Sound system, and so much more (full spec list available upon request).

On top of the ludicrous specification, this ultra-low mile GT2 enjoys a full main dealer history, having covered less than fifty miles since its last service and with its next service due in October of next year.

The 911 has always been the sports car one can use every day, one that will do the school run and commute into the office but also offer a rewarding drive through the countryside on the weekends. This 911 is not that car. A fire breathing, near-700 horsepower monster, this 911 is uncompromising, unyielding, and shocks with vicious performance beyond anything most will ever have the opportunity to experience.
