All Targa models are also characterized by all-wheel drive and the continuous light strip, which visually continues in the taillights and emphasizes the 44 mm widened rear. This Porsche 911 4 also has Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as well as Sport Chrono Plus and rear-axle steering. Active steering of the rear wheels improves agility, a smaller turning circle at low speeds and better driving stability at high speeds.
Origin and maintenance
The car was originally delivered in Germany and imported to the Netherlands in 2022. This damage-free Targa had its last service in April 2023 at the Porsche Centrum Twente. All work carried out is fully documented and traceable in the service booklet. We deliver the car with a valid MOT and, if necessary, any required service. The tires and brakes are in good condition and practically new.
The car still has its original paintwork, with the exception of the driver's side door, which has been repainted due to minor, insignificant damage.
Here is a summary of the mileage over the years: 2016: Delivered, 2017: 30,913 km, 2018: 55,673 km, 2021: 78,213 km and 2023: 107,655 km.
Targa The search for the ideal Porsche 911 is almost as old as the model itself. In 1965, just one year after the introduction of the coupé, Porsche introduced a second body variant: the Targa. The idea was to create a “safety convertible” equipped with a sturdy roll bar and a removable roof section that could be folded by hand and stored in the trunk. In practice this works perfectly; With the windows open you can really enjoy the convertible experience.
The Targa variant was a great success from the start. No less than 40 percent of Porsche buyers chose the Targa with a roll bar, initially in silver and later in black. Even when Porsche added a full convertible to its range in the early 1980s, this did not diminish the popularity of the Targa. It was only when the folding roof was replaced by a large sliding glass roof for three generations (993, 996 and 997) starting with the 993 generation (from 1995) that its popularity began to wane.
But with the 991 generation the original shape with a roll bar returned. Porsche has raised the bar significantly here with fully electric operation. At the push of a button, a corridor opens on the left and right, in which two robot arms lift the targa top, turn it backwards and stow it in the rear. This mechanical spectacle always works perfectly. For us, the Targa is once again one of our three favorite Porsches from the 991 generation onwards.
Technical data & performance With an output of 420 hp and a torque of 500 Nm, the Targa with all-wheel drive sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds. Acceleration from 0 to 200 km/h takes 14.0 seconds and the top speed is 301 km/h. Despite the turbos, there's hardly any turbo lag, and the 4S drives as if it were equipped with an atmospheric engine rather than a turbocharged variant.
