Porsche once again achieved great success when the 991 version of the 911 was introduced in 2011. The all new platform kept the traditional 911 shape we are all used to but it was subtlety both wider as well as longer, and by using more aluminum, composite, and high strength steel was lighter than the previous generation car. A new 7-speed, dual clutch, ZF Porsche Doppelkupplung (or PDK for short) gearbox was offered and is the most popular choice for the car. The 3.4L DOHC flat six has direct fuel injection and Vario Cam Plus which improves engine response and power which is 350 ponies in the standard Carrera and 287 ft lbs of torque. The 911 is the perfect real world sports car that many people enjoy as daily drivers giving owners tremendous performance, easy to live with service costs, and reliability.
