The Turbo S was already incredibly fast before the facelift. So what did the engineers do to improve the 991.2? In addition to minor changes to the taillights, the hood and the front bumper, the technology and the interior were also further refined.
The newly introduced Dynamic Boost system ensures that when the throttle is released, the throttle remains open and only fuel injection is interrupted. This keeps the turbos running and the throttle response is more direct than before. Few turbo engines respond so quickly to the accelerator pedal, especially in Sport or Sport+ mode. These different modes can be selected using a rotary switch on the steering wheel.
The difference to a “normal” turbo.
In addition to the higher performance, the Turbo S offers a number of performance improvements as standard: The Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) ensures active roll stabilization and even more neutral driving behavior, the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) for even better braking performance and the 20- Customs wheels on the 911 Turbo S are equipped with a central locking system, a technology from racing.
The performance is phenomenal: the engine now delivers 580 hp and 750 Nm of torque. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes 2.9 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in just 9.9 seconds. The top speed is 330 km/h. This corresponds to the official Porsche specification, which is known to be very conservative.
This car was originally delivered in Germany as a Porsche factory car and came to the Netherlands in April 2020. The current mileage is only 22,846 km and all work was carried out by Porsche and is listed in the service booklet.
