Every 911 version has something unique. Something unique. That applies in particular to this very beautiful Porsche 991.2 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet. Although we must confess that the differences between the Carrera 4S and GTS are subtle. Both can be recognized by the continuous red LED bar between the rear light units. The openings at the bottom of the rear bumper plus the insert around the double round (sport) exhaust are characteristic of every facelifted 991.2. It is therefore quite logical that this 911 Cabriolet, painted in timelessly beautiful Agate Gray, had to be provided with additional optical distinction. This starts at the front with a SportDesign front bumper including additional air intakes next to the license plate. The mirrors are also of the SportDesign type with their double, aerodynamically shaped legs. The 20-inch wheels are of the Turbo S type and have a Centerlock wheel nut for a racy 3.0 look. The fact that they are finished in black is a nice extra. So are the LED headlight housings and exhaust tailpipes; a nice match with the black convertible top.
Interior
Black leather predominates in the sleek Porsche 991-2 interior. The 18-way (!) Adjustable Adaptive sports seats are perfect and the heated GT Sports steering wheel is comfortable in the hand. All clocks and gauges are kept black, up to and including the Sport Chrono clock on the dashboard. Right in front of the driver’s nose, the analog tachometer has a prominent place in the traditional 911 instrumentation. In the meantime, the GTS lettering reminds you that you are not ‘just’ sitting in a Porsche 911 Carrera… Also handy: the position of the PDK transmission is also included in the rev counter, as is a digital speed display. With that, one look is enough to absorb all performance-related information.
Options & extras
Did we mention that the electric seats can also be heated and ventilated? Hereby. With 18 positions, the memory function is not an unnecessary luxury. In addition to seat ventilation, seat and steering wheel heating, you can check off: a Light Design package, Park Assist with camera and sensors all around, lane change assistance, Cruise Control, Apple CarPlay, Sport Chrono Pack and Bose Surround Sound. The Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+) is made up of LEDs for an optimal light beam under all circumstances. After all, limited visibility is the last thing you want when Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+) and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) make the most of the ridiculously good 991-2 Carrera 4 GTS ride quality. Porsche Communication Management (PCM) completes the laundry list of options.
Technology & performance
The equipment already betrays it a bit: the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet is more than just an optically embellished Carrera 4S. To write out the technical difference in hard numbers: the GTS makes a jump from 30 hp, to a total of 450. The ‘standard’ Carrera does with another 50 hp less and gets stuck at 370. So it is correct that the GTS perfectly fills the gap to the 500 hp GT3. Only it is not available as a Cabriolet… And that is precisely why the all-wheel drive Carrera 4 GTS is the Porsche 991.2 you want. Plus of course the fact that the double-blown 3.0 liter 6-cylinder boxer engine in combination with a 7-speed PDK transmission accelerates the 0-100 km/h sprint within 3.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 306 km/h. slipping… Do we need to say more?
Sincerely,
Prince Esclusivo.
