Model history

The Porsche 968, introduced in 1991, built on the success of the 944. With its 3.0-liter engine producing 240 hp, it offered the most powerful four-cylinder engine in series production at the time. As the successor to the 944, the 968 refined the transaxle concept. It was available as both a coupe and a convertible.
