One of 39 examples built for the United States market, this exceedingly rare 1994 Porsche 911 Turbo S X85 “Flat-Nose” was initially shipped to Classic Automobiles, Inc. of Tuckahoe, New York. The most expensive Porsche of its day, the “Turbo ‘S’ Flat Nose Package” listed on the window sticker increased the MSRP by $60,179 and is joined by an extensive list of additional options. As a Porsche Exclusive product, the interior is fashioned with a Light Rootwood dashboard, parking brake lever, and shifter (Codes X17, X31, and XC8, respectively). Further treatments include Cashmere Beige Supple Leather heated seats with driver lumbar and a leather-wrapped dashboard and center console. Matching Beige Velour floor mats complete the lavishly appointed interior. The Grand Prix white exterior further adds to the exclusivity of the vehicle, as just two X85 Flat-Nose cars are believed to have left the factory with this shade of paint. Stylish 18-inch RS Cup Polished wheels are found on all four corners, and an electric sliding sunroof allows for open-air driving.

This Porsche was sold new to the famed Blackhawk Collection of Danville, California and remained within their facility until 2016. As a result, just 39 miles appear on the odometer at the time of cataloging, and it retains its factory exterior and interior finishes—making it surely one of the lowest-mileage, best-preserved examples of the coveted 911 Turbo S “Flat-Nose” in existence.

In August of 2016, the car was purchased by the consignor, and it has been a member of the White Collection ever since. Prior to this acquisition, a comprehensive service was performed, and the Turbo S received new fluids, filters, fuel pumps, injectors, brake lines, drive belt, and struts. While in the collection, the car has been started and run to operating temperature monthly. An air compressor, car cover, tool roll, original owner’s books with pouch, the original window sticker, and a document binder will accompany the car upon sale.

Indicating just 39 actual miles at time of cataloguing, this car represents a special moment in turbocharged 911 history. The 993-generation Turbos that would follow it gained all-wheel drive and traded the signature single large turbocharger for two smaller units. While excellent performers, they offer a driving experience very different than that of 964 Turbos such as this.

For those seeking the pinnacle of classic Porsche 911 Turbo feel, along with the added rarity of the US-specification X85 package, this exceptionally well-preserved Grand Prix White 1994 911 Turbo S “Flat-Nose” would make for the ultimate prize.
