Northway Porsche have further serviced the car in 2018 and 2021 – where various trims were renewed alongside a new battery, AC belt and assorted service items. With a fresh stamp in the book from the main dealer (June 2024) the car is on the button and ready to go.

EXTERIOR
The iconic silhouette of the 964 delivers that fantastic fusion of wide arches, unique rear wing and deep dish speedline wheels – evoking pure 90’s design drama allied with the definitive period colour; Metallic Black. This particular car sits in exemplary condition, free from any chips of marks, and retains a deep lustre across its surface that perfectly compliments the Turbo’s muscular physique. The fabulous 3.6 is for many the definitive Porsche design and there is no doubt it can be admired and enjoyed from simply any angle.
Rubbers and plastics show soft and supple, encasing unmarked glass and lights with wonderful original texture, shape and colour. The sunroof appears clean and tidy, operating with a smooth action and sealing correctly.
INTERIOR
The interior of the 964 is simple but effective; upholstered in black leather the deeply bolstered sports seats offer plenty of support and show very little signs of wear commensurate with the cars low mileage. More black leather spans the door cards and rear seats, which gives the cabin a comfortable and luxurious feel, and significantly the whole cabin space is totally original from factory. An unmarked OEM standard airbag steering wheel sits in front of the usual 5 dial instrument cluster whilst the addition of a classic look Blaupunkt radio with Bluetooth and USB connection adds some modern connectivity.
The carpet set throughout the car retains a deep pile texture with genuine over mats in front offering further protection.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The 3.6 964 derived engine shares the same KKK turbocharger, including the whale-tail-mounted intercooler, as the 3.3 930 based engine but recalibration increases maximum boost to 13.1 psi. An extra 300cc of exhaust gas blowing on the same impeller spools it up at lower revs, making full boost available at 3500 rpm. With resulting torque now spread evenly over the rev range the car is much more tractable; given the power is more accessible the car now feels quicker and more exploitable.
The engine bay and underside of the car defies time and use, remaining exceptionally clean and retaining all its bright nickel plating and metal finishes free from corrosion.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Speedline and Porsche, a beautiful relationship that began with the 17 inch CUP wheel available on the 964 RS. The wheel manufacturer went a step further with the 3.6 and then the 993 RS – split rims with a polished lip and the enduring ‘Speedline for Porsche’ stamp on the lip. This set are in excellent condition complimented by updated N rated Michelin Pilot sport rubber all round.
Brakes show cleanly with no lip or corrosion and clamped by Big Red Brembo calipers pull the car up strongly.
