The vehicle in detail

This is a stunning and mechanically overhauled 964 Turbo in ultra-rare Cobalt Blue Metallic, with a documented history, fresh OEM+ build, and tasteful, high-quality upgrades throughout. This is hands-down one of the finest examples of a driver-focused, air-cooled 911 Turbo you’ll find. It is a true show stopper wherever it goes and it drives flawlessly. I have put 1,500 miles on it since I have owned it and it has been amazing. Stored in climate controlled garage in the period of time that I have owned it and looked after by the best air cooled mechanic in Nashville who did an oil change, flushed and filled the power steering fluid, replaced rear rotors and brake pads and replaced the sunroof seal. No other issues and an amazing car all around.

This car was purchased off Rennlist in July 2022. It was originally a one-owner vehicle, lovingly maintained by the same couple since new. The only change in ownership recorded on the Carfax reflects the passing of the husband and the car moving states under the same family name. I purchased it in January of 2024 and have put $1,500 miles on it. It has been in a climate controlled garage since I have owned it.

Before purchase, the person who built this spoke with the original owner’s wife, who shared additional insight and history. The rear quarter panel was painted around 2007 following a low-speed incident in a parking lot at a Disney Hotel. The damage was cosmetic (scrape), professionally repaired for several thousand dollars. There is a related Carfax entry, but the metal on the car is original, and no panel replacement occurred from what I understand.

The car arrived mostly original and in very nice condition, but with rusted head studs and a top-end rebuild required. That prompted a full engine-out restoration and a carefully executed, OEM+ performance build.

Mechanical Build & Performance Upgrades:

A full top and bottom-end rebuild ($40K investment) was performed, with factory-spec quality and reliable enhancements:

• Mahle pistons and cylinders
• Carillo rods
• X33r camshafts (OEM+ drop-ins, the only internal performance mod)
• RarelyL8 hand-built bolt-on performance parts:
• Tuned headers and heat exchangers
• K27 turbo
• Turbo sump tank/kit
• Hooligan muffler
• Wastegate cat bypass
• Fuel distributor mod
• WUR mod
• Estimated 370 whp, properly tuned and incredibly responsive

Additional Highlights:

• Suspension: Bilstein PSS10 coilovers and Elephant Racing components
• Wheels/Tires: Brand new BBS E88 wheels wrapped in Pirelli PZero tires
• Transmission: Golden Rod and Fister short shift kit
• Interior: Factory heated sport seats (Light Grey with Midnight piping) + matching Classic 9 floor mats
• Audio: Blaupunkt SQR 46 DAB with Focal components
• Clutch: 964 Turbo lightweight flywheel & clutch conversion package (Patrick Motorsports)
• Front end professionally repainted as with most cars of this age to correct chips and wear
• Full-body PPF (2024)
• Full body paint correction and dry ice undercarriage treatment
• Service History: Extensively maintained at Porsche Orlando with strong Carfax entries
• Documentation: Binder of invoices, photos, and full records is included

This car is a true unicorn—rare color, known history, obsessive-level restoration, and bulletproof performance. With 85K miles and a fresh, worry-free drivetrain, it’s ready for another 100K miles of spirited driving and continued appreciation. Clean Tennessee title and ready to go to the next lucky owner.
