The Porsche Carrera RS Clubsport we are offering here also has an unusual history. The car was purchased new by one of the attending doctors from the first year of the Carrera Cup. According to reports, the car was to be modeled on Olaf Manthey's winning car from the 1990 Carrera Cup. So the 964 RS Clubsport N-GT in "signal green" was ordered. After a short period of time and with around 1,000 km on the clock, the vehicle was then made available to the "Technik Museum Sinnsheim" as an exhibit. A few years later, the sales manager at Porsche Strähle, Mr. Roger Störzer, contacted the actual owner and was able to purchase the car. In 1997, Porsche Strähle sold the Carrera RS CS to a good customer in Stuttgart. This gentleman owned the car from 1997 to 2003. Thomas J. Schmitz, who was a partner at Hermanns & Schmitz Automobile at the time, acquired the vehicle in autumn 2003 through Mr. Roger Störzer from Porsche Strähle. At that time, the Carrera RS had only run 9400 km.
In spring 2004, Thomas J. Schmitz sold this great car to a private Porsche collection in Sweden, where he enriched the collection until 2010.
In 2010, Thomas J. Schmitz was able to buy this collector's item back and brought it back to Germany. Shortly afterwards, the car was sold to a German Porsche collection.
For the last 14 years, the Carrera RS Clubsport has been in this Porsche collection and remained purely as a collector's item.
The car has finally found its way back and was professionally awakened from "hibernation" at the Porsche Center in Münster and made ready to drive again.
A very extensive service with various additional work was carried out, despite the low mileage. No expense or effort was spared to prepare this extremely rare and fantastic sports car from the 90s for its future owner. Of course, 4 new tires were also fitted.
The Porsche 964 RS Clubsport is now fully operational again and runs like a new car.
