Bought new at the New York dealership in 1991, the car has a total of 5 owners including myself, 3 owners in the US including a French man working for Dassault plane buiding and selling the Falcon private jet, this French man bought the car end of 2003.
He bought it at Louisville and according to Carfax, he was the 3rd owner of the car with 101125 miles (equiv. to 162745 kms).
He used to drive it in the US until end 2011, and came back definitively in France, exporting the car from US to France.
In March 2013, car maintenance at 149833 miles, equivalent to 239733 kms.
In September 2013, this French owner request to register the car in France and had had to adapt the car to be in line with the French compliance rules, especially lights, turn signal & manufacturer’s plate.
The French authorities have validated the registration of this car in France, by using the European VIN number, WP0ZZZ96ZMS440562, as a doc from Porsche France confirmed it is the same than the US VIN (# above).
Then it was sold to a new French owner in September 2018 at 248445 kms which have restored it, unfortunatlely the US French owner did not kept any service receipts from the US part of the car’s life but detailed Carfax showing some service is available.
So, since the end of 2018, a full respray of the car with replacement of the original Porsche rubber seals, disassembly of the openings (doors, front hood, rear hood), Front and Rear bumpers and roll-bar cover after dismantling and replacing the hoses of the oil tank.
Interior have been done by an upholstery shop, and mechanic was done for brakes (discs & pads), shock absorbers, filters, Oil, dual ignition distributor etc… (see the maintenance details next)
Rear spoiler has been replace too, as well as all turn lights front & rear, center .
I am the last owner and I am in charge of the Porsche Classic Partner department in Lorient (One of 4 in France), I have the car inspected by my technicien and the car speak for itself, we could see than it has been well maintained, the engine and gearbox are performing very well, no receipts but I am pretty sure than some work has been done to the engine in US.
I drove many 964 with less mileage and they are far to be in that shape !!
The windscreen is new.
The Fuchs wheels are genuine Fuchs in 17″ and the tires fited are nearly new, I also have a nice Tartan material which I was planning to fit in the front center seats matching the colros of the car.
I have the original Design 90 wheels with nearly new tires coming with the car and the original headlights so it can be put back to original in less than two hours.
The radio is a Blaupunkt Bremen SQR46 with bluetooth, phone and more média connections.
