All our 964s are restored according to defined standards.
It begins with an inspection of the initial condition of each vehicle. This inspection includes the following work steps:
Thorough cleaning of the exterior and interior
Visual inspection of the paintwork
Visual inspection of the bodywork
Visual inspection of the interior
Functional check of all components such as air conditioning/heating, lighting, control units, etc.
Test drive
Visual inspection of chassis / brakes / engine
The second step is dry ice blasting. This includes
Removal of all underbody panels
Removal of the front mask, rear trim and sill panels
Dismantling all lighting elements
Dismantle, clean and store all dismantled fairings
Drain the engine oil, transmission oil, washer fluid and brake fluid
Remove the engine and gearbox
Transport to dry ice blasting
Dry ice blasting the underbody, front, rear and engine compartment
After dry ice blasting, the scope of the restoration is determined:
Renewed visual inspection of the underbody for corrosion and damage
Determination of the scope of the bodywork
Inspection of the chassis components
Inspection of all lines (brake, fuel, oil, etc.)
Removal of the oil tank, oil cooler and all oil lines (lines are generally replaced)
Chassis and brake components are generally overhauled or replaced
Now the preparation for the paint work begins:
Dismantling of the necessary parts for refinishing
Now the individual assemblies are taken to the respective trades:
Bodywork to the body shop / painter
Interior to the upholstery shop (seats and trim to be refurbished)
Fittings for overhaul
Depending on the defect, overhaul electronic components
Engine and gearbox completely overhauled in Plant 1
While the body and interior are being worked on, the engine and gearbox are overhauled. The overhaul generally includes:
Motor:

Druckverlust- und Sichtprüfung
Motor bis zu den Nockenwellengehäusen zerlegen, alle Teile reinigen
Verschleißteile wie Kupplung etc. werden generell erneuert
Nebenaggregate wie Anlasser, Generator erneuern
Zündverteiler überholen ggf. erneuern
Anbauteile auf Funktion prüfen ggf. erneuern
Motorverblechung entlacken, strahlen und pulverbeschichten (beschädigte Teile werden ersetzt und ebenso bearbeitet)
Alle verzinkten Teile neu verzinken (wie original)
Auspuffanlage strahlen prüfen ggf. erneuern
Motor zusammenbauen, zum Einbau komplettieren

Motor komplett zerlegen alle Teile reinigen
Kurbelgehäuse prüfen, vermessen ggf. bearbeiten, ggf. Zylinderstehbolzen erneuern
Kurbelwelle prüfen, vermessen, polieren, ggf. erneuern
Pleuel prüfen, vermessen, winkeln, Lager erneuern
Ventiltrieb, Zwischenwelle, Steuerketten, etc. prüfen, vermessen, verschlissene Teile erneuern
Nockenwellen; Kipphebel, Kipphebelachsen, etc. prüfen, vermessen, ggf. erneuern
Zylinderköpfe generell komplett überholen
Kolben und Zylinder prüfen, vermessen zumeist erneuern
Nockenwellengehäuse, Kettengehäuse, etc. prüfen vermessen ggf. bearbeiten/ erneuern
Kurbelgehäuse montieren (generell werden alle Lager, Dichtungen, etc. erneuert)
Verschleißteile wie Kupplung etc. werden generell erneuert

Nach Sichtprüfung auf Dichtigkeit strahlen zerlegen
Verschleißteile prüfen ggf. erneuern
Bei Allradfahrzeuge Frontdifferential und Antriebstrang auf Dichtigkeit und Funktion prüfen ggf. verschlissene Teile austauschen oder Komponenten überholen
Nach Fertigstellung der einzelnen Gewerke folgt die Montage im Werk 1 oder aber Werk 2 je nach Kapazität in folgenden Arbeitsschritten:
Fahrwerk / Bremse montieren (Entweder überholte oder neue Bauteile)
Ölkühlanlage montieren (Alle Leitungen/ Schläuche neu)
Karosserie mit neuen Dichtungen und Kedern komplettieren (Türen, Hauben, Zierleisten etc.)
Beleuchtung montieren Funktion prüfen
Neuen Teppichsatz und ggf. neuen Dachhimmel montieren
Scheiben einsetzen
Interieur montieren
Motor und Getriebe einbauen, Inbetriebnahme
Räder montieren (Felgen entlackt, pulverbeschichtet, Reifen neu)
Fahrzeug vermessen (Höhe, Radlast, Spur, Sturz etc. einstellen)
Probefahrt / Prüfen aller Funktionen / Qualitätsprüfung
Vorführung zur Abnahme der Hauptuntersuchung ggf. Eintragung von Individualisierungen
