Porsche 964 Carrera 4
Highlights
- 964 Targa
- 47k Original Miles
- Recent Engine Rebuild
Introduced in 1989, the Porsche 964 generation of the 911 was an unarguably perfect blend of classic styling and modern advancement. Underneath its timeless silhouette, the 964 featured innovations such as power steering, ABS brakes, coil spring suspension, and an optional four-wheel drive system that was derived from the 959 supercar.
As per any generation of 911, the Targa model stood out, offering an exhilarating open-air driving experience with the structural rigidity of a coupe. The iconic roll hoop behind the seats touched on a classic yet contemporary aesthetic that enthusiasts had grown to love from 911s past.
Photographed here, our 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Targa is one of the most exceptional 964s that we’ve seen to date. Finished in its original configuration of Shwarz (Black) over a pristine, Black “Supple” Leather interior, this meticulously maintained example has gone only 47,732 miles since being delivered new from Zipper Porsche in Beverly Hills, California to its first and long-term owner in Texas on March 2nd of 1990. Accompanied by a a tremendous amount of maintenance records, the car received a complete engine rebuild and transmission refresh in March of 2023 and comes complete with all of its original books, tools and space saver tire.
