This 964 C2 is the hand-built, analog, air-cooled 911 in its original silhouette, with a narrow body.
Only considerably lighter and sportier, providing a truly impressive driving experience in an exciting way. Yet, not as hard and uncompromisingly racing (like the 964 RS).
964 connoisseurs immediately sense that a truly unique creation has been created here, constantly demanding to be driven and appreciated by those who understand how extraordinary it is. It's addictive; driving it becomes a drug.
Not driving it, just looking at it and admiring it, is simply not possible! Far too precious to disappear into a collection.
My "perfect 964" is characterized by the following features,
- Carrera 2 Coupe (RWD) as 2-seater (rear seats removed) with Recaro Pole Position seats, Clubsport steering wheel, wooden gearshift, RS carpet, RS door panels
- with heating, electric sunroof and air conditioning to ensure daily driver comfort all year round
- Nevertheless, weight reduction > 80 kg compared to series by removing seats, airbag steering wheel, panels, insulation, rear wiper, trunk carpet, additional heating, center silencer, bumper support, fog lights, immobilizer
- Performance increase to approx. 290 hp with sporty sound through modified intake and exhaust system and engine control unit with tuning on performance test bench
- Sporty, dynamic drivetrain tuning (sports clutch / single-mass flywheel / shortened gearshift / synchro-driven transmission / GT 3 limited-slip differential)
- Modern adjustable sports suspension (KW V3 Clubsport), strut brace, stabilizers, harder bearings/bushings, tuned for winding country roads
- Large brake (964 RS) with steel braided lines and adapters
- Cup rims and tires (3-piece, 18-inch Speedline, wheel center in body color, custom-made)
- Interior very sporty for ergonomically perfect seating, steering, gear shifting (with focus on haptics at touchpoints, steering hub and gear lever extension, adapted pedals)
- Elegant retro-style interior with sufficient comfort for two people on longer journeys (air conditioning, exhaust silencer, leather, Alcantara, Porsche Classic radio, navigation,…)
- deliberately NOT a track tool but a mountain tool, therefore no roll bar
- and of course beautiful looks, breathtaking driving (although still/only the original 3.6L engine is installed)
It's a bit like if Porsche had invented a GT 3 Touring version of the 964 (back then it would probably have been called the 964 Club Sport).
My basis is a 964 Carrera 2 model year 1992 (NS series with many improvements), in the color Night Blue Metallic L37W, interior originally Light Gray TS

The complete history is available and documented. The vehicle was always registered in Germany and was only serviced by Porsche specialist workshops.
Original vehicle registration document, folder with warranty service booklet, tools, spare wheel, compressor, 2+1 keys, TÜV reports and invoices, everything is present.
I bought the vehicle in 2022 from the previous owner with 199,744 km on the clock in its original delivery condition. He himself acquired the vehicle in 2002 with 137,000 km and lovingly cared for it for 20 years. In the last 8 years, 2014 – 2022, however, due to health reasons, he only drove an average of 1,500 km per year with a seasonal license plate on long journeys in the summer. It was always parked in a heated garage and showed no rust, not even in the critical areas of the 964. The paintwork is flawless, with very few stone chips.
The excellent impression was confirmed when the vehicle was completely disassembled before the conversion (engine, transmission, brakes, chassis, fuel tank, and the entire interior were removed to ensure that the base was corrosion-free even in the critical 964 spots). Even the usual dry ice blasting of the underbody was omitted this time. The original seal was retained.
The conversion to its current state took place between 2022 and 2024. Modifications have been approved by the TÜV (German Technical Inspection Authority) (§21) and confirmed as period-correct (§23). The vehicle is therefore registered for an H license plate (recognized as a historic vehicle / vintage car) in Germany.
The conversion is too extensive to describe here. It was supervised by experts and is fully documented in a detailed appraisal, which is of course available for inspection. A complete repaint was deliberately avoided in order to preserve as much of the original paint as possible. The few stone chips are borne with dignity.

A second set of leather seat cushions to create an all-black interior is also available (photos at the end of the gallery), as is some of the original parts (marked in red) that were removed to reduce weight. Both are included in the purchase price.
Since the conversion/complete refresh, approximately 23,000 km have been driven. Only in good weather!
This 964 impressively demonstrates once again that
the whole is greater than the sum of its parts!
Modified like this is impressively better and simply so much more fun!
