ENGINE AND GEARBOX
The air-cooled 3.6-litre flat-six engine, the engine architecture that gives the German coupé its mechanical charm, produces 250bhp. There are no engine leaks and, once underway, the flat-six emits no suspicious vibrations, delivers thrust without any dips in power and idles smoothly. The gearbox is easy to get to grips with and not excessively hard to handle. The engine was serviced less than a year ago, with an oil and filter change. The history shows serious servicing, mainly within the Porsche network, with a service book and extensive file of invoices to support this. A major service carried out in 2019 including a large number of mechanical operations means that it is presented in excellent working order, ready to cover any distance.
EXTERIOR
There’s no need to describe the 911’s design, which has stood the test of time for over 60 years. The original Slate Grey colour dresses the vehicle with elegance and sobriety. It boasts perfect, flawless condition and a perfect shine. The soft top is also in excellent condition, with a good seal and no white streaks. No traces of rust are visible on the bodywork or underbody. Paint thickness measurements reveal low, even figures. The ‘RS’ wheels and rear-view mirrors give the vehicle a decidedly sporty look.
INTERIOR
The cabin of this third iteration of the 911 has been enhanced in terms of comfort and safety equipment, with the introduction of airbags, air conditioning and electric seats. Our tester is clad entirely in black leather and the dashboard is flawless thanks to the quality of its manufacture, while the instrumentation retains its usual layout of five dials with the rev counter in the middle. The seats offer good support and are perfectly well preserved, showing no defects in appearance. The black carpets and rugs are on a par with the rest of the cabin, as are the plastics, which are spared from the sun.
CONSUMABLES
The 2019 Continental Contisport Contact tyres (205/50 ZR16 front and 225/40 ZR16 rear) are in very good condition. The brakes have recently been serviced and are up to date with a brake system bleed in 2022 and the brake pads/discs are up to date too.

The Porsche 964 is the third generation of the legendary 911. Its mission was to perpetuate the traditional 911 recipe in a car with 85% new parts compared to its ancestor, the G series. Unveiled in the twilight of the 80s, the coupé and cabriolet versions were unveiled simultaneously. At first glance, the silhouette of the coupé barely changes, but underneath the bodywork, we’re really dealing with a new model.
