HCC is pleased to offer this manual transmission 1990 Porsche 911 (964) Carrera 2 Targa. Finished in Velvet Red Metallic over a black leather interior, it was optioned with the 5 speed manual transmission and a Blaupunkt radio from the factory. Now showing 77k miles, this 964 Targa represents a unique opportunity for a very rare specification, driver-quality 964 Targa. Fewer than 4,000 964 Targas were produced in total, and under 200 of those were 1990 US-specification. Taking into account that many of those were Tiptronic automatic transmission cars and/or all-wheel drive Carrera 4 models, a manual rear wheel drive (Carrera 2) Targa is an exceedingly rare car.
This example runs and drives extremely well, but is best described as driver-quality due to paint issues. Several panels have been affected by sun fade, while others appear to have received fresh paint. As such, there are obvious color mismatches between panels – most prominently on the rear of the car.
