This 911/964 Carrera 2 Coupe is a one-off collector's item and comes up with maxims: The car was delivered by Porsche Bamberg on June 8th, 1990 and has been in the possession of the current owner since May 1991. The original vehicle registration document confirms the history and the two entries to this day. The car is completely in the original paint and corresponds in every detail to the delivery condition. Despite the extremely low mileage of only 25,000 km, the vehicle was last extensively serviced and overhauled. The checkbook (maintenance carried out exclusively by Porsche RUF) as well as the documents since delivery including the service receipts document the complete history. The special equipment includes an electric sunroof, seat heating for the driver and a rear window wiper.
The Porsche 964. The perfect harmony of classic and modern. The presentation color in Indian red, together with the characteristic silhouette, creates an exciting overall picture: sporty, elegant and timeless at the same time.
The key data of this vehicle meet all expectations of a perfect collector's item without compromise: German delivery, plus the last 30 years until today in second hand and still completely in the original paint. The overall condition can only be described as almost untouched and flawless. Although it is a vehicle that is already 30 years old, it can only be described as mostly as good as new.
The interior is clean and neat down to the last detail and shows no signs of wear and tear.
The car has been extensively serviced by the RUF company over the past few years and wear parts due to age have been renewed. For personal reasons, the owner has now decided to part with the vehicle and is looking for an equally knowledgeable new owner for this special example who will continue the history of this collector's item.
The entire on-board folder including operating instructions, maintenance booklet, touring pass, radio instructions, as well as the complete key set and the partly unopened and still original tool set are also part of this collector's package.
Conclusion: This 964 Carrera 2 is probably currently the best remaining vehicle in the German-speaking area. Actually, it remains a pious wish to purchase a vehicle with the combination of perfect history and German first delivery, very low mileage and a new car-like condition with a complete history, which was in one hand for 30 years. This complete package, however, allows collectors to simply secure that perfect air-cooled 911. And although this vehicle deserves the title “museum-ready”, it is still suitable for every day and can currently be driven with an H license plate.

Model history:
The Porsche 964 brought a number of important updates that took the 911 formula to new heights.
When the 964 was launched, the 911 range was just 25 years old, and during that time most of the changes to the basic design had been gradual. The 964 provided the urgently needed technical boost to fend off the competition. Much was made of the fact that over 80 percent of the car was completely new compared to its predecessor, but still much of what remained under the new body panels that had made the original such a sought-after sports car since the 1960s .
The biggest change was the switch to a coil spring rear suspension, which reduced the rear end's upset tendencies. The ABS braking system was another first for the 911, as was the all-wheel drive and the cool electronically controlled rear spoiler. The Carrera 4 Coupe was the first to showcase a version of the all-wheel drive system first used in the 959 supercar. The Carrera 2 soon followed along with a convertible and a Targa body. Turbos and RS models with the most powerful Turbo S with 381 hp and a top speed of 288 km / h were added to the series models.
Although only produced for four years, a total of over 63,000 copies were made of all variants built. As a reminder of a less digital automotive age, the 964 offers a nostalgic step into the past, but with a level of performance that already meets modern standards.
The 3.6 liter boxer engine is a powerful machine that does its best when used and maintained regularly.
1989: Introduction of the 964 Carrera 4. 250 hp 3.6-liter flat six-speed and six-speed gearbox as standard, as well as all-wheel drive
1990: Carrera 2, Targa and Cabriolet bodies are added to the range. Four-speed Tiptronic transmission is optional
1991: Introduction of the 320 hp 3.3-liter 964 Turbo
1992: Introduction of the 260 hp Carrera RS in sports and touring equipment. Carrera 2 offered with a turbo MPV
1993: Upgraded 360 hp 3.6 liter turbo, which is offered alongside the 381 hp Turbo S. Introduction of the rare 911 Speedster. The 300 hp Carrera RS 3.8 becomes available and the C4 30 Years Edition is being built to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 911s (911s were produced).
