We really love this car. Finished in the most desirable (well, in our opinion!) Grand Prix White with Black leather and Cup alloys with a factory sunroof and cruise control. This beautiful example was delivered new to Porsche Seaside California and first registered on 01/01/1990.
The car was imported into the UK in May 2018 and has been with its most recent owner, a Porsche fanatic and collector, since October 2018.
Accompanying the car is a sizeable history file with 12 service stamps in the service book too. Remarkably it even has a hand written log of millage, fuel and oil use for the first few years of its life, by its previous owner. The car has covered 85,000 miles today. The 964 has an MOT until April 2023.
In recent years, it has been incredibly well looked after, as documented. In 2018, just 2,500 miles ago, the car had a complete engine rebuilt at William Hewitt Porsche Specialists. The car’s most recent service was carried out just 1,000 miles ago in April 2022 by Scott Gretton Porsche and consisted of a full service including the tappets.
In addition to the recent extensive maintenance works, the car also had the front windscreen removed and some rust on the scuttle repaired and repainted and the windscreen was refitted with a new seal. In April this year the car had 4x new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres fitted.
This car also benefits from some tasteful modifications. A 964 Cup exhaust has been fitted (this also removes the US Spec catalytic converter), 964 RS door mirrors and also a European 964 rear bumper section – both painted in body colour. The car has also recently had Bilstein B16 PSS10 Coilovers fitted and the alignment and ride height set professionally accordingly. In all cases, the car comes with the original parts too should you wish to revert it to standard (US exhaust with cat, standard mirrors, standard bumpers, standard dampers). The car also comes with its original Design 90 alloy wheels. It has a Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 radio head unit too, period looking but with DAB, Bluetooth, USB and an SD card slot built in.
Overall this car presents very well indeed. We are partial to a 964 at Duke of London and know what to watch out for. This car does not show any of the tell tale 964 foibles and is a very good example indeed. It drives fantastically and we know it will bring its new owner a lot of joy.
As with all of our vehicles, we have a digital folder available on request containing more images, walkaround videos, pictures of the underside and scans of the service history. The car can be viewed by appointment at our West London showroom.
