Porsche 944 Turbo Cup

The vehicle in detail

• The car is a 944 Turbo Cup from 1987. This year 88 Cup Cars where produced for the different series in Europe and South Africa and 11 cars for USA, so in total 99 cars.
• The car is said to have been Porsche’s guest car in 1987, this had Hertz all over the side in addition to the standard sponsors that were on all cars.
• The car was driven by a lot of famous guest drivers, there one was HJ STUCK according to people thatknow/was around at that time.
• The car has since been owned and driven by the Strandell Team in various competitions and series with Bengt Trägårdh, Anders Olofsson and some other drivers behind the wheel. The car was owned after that by Anders Larsson, who competed with the car in Sweden and internationally.
• After this, the car disappears from the hands of known owners and is no longer raced with.
• Unfortunately, there is no documentation for the car as it burned up in a fire at the previous owner’s…
• When we found the car in 2010, it was/is in dire need of renovation to make it as good as a car like that shall be and get it back on the track and road.
• Today the car is on wheels and can be rolled, even started (not started for 12 years), the car cannot be driven as the car has no brakes and no clutch (There is no brake fluid in the reservoir that also handles the clutch).
• Engine (started when purchased, good oil pressure, water leak by the radiator), body needs paint and some dents that need to be removed and some light rust.
• The car has all the original Turbo Cup things that the car came with (except the rear window).
• What comes with the car are Original magnesium Phone rims refurbished in England, Turbo Cupexhaust, front plate with headlights original (today it is built in lamps), a set of original shock Absorbers refurbished, passenger seat and interior with the right fabric and some other small bits and pieces.
• The car has Swedish registration documents and are road legal with the roll cage, latest time it was inspected was 2002.
