Fuel is provided by a complete Fuel Labs fuel system comprised of a Prodigy Series 1,400HP capable fuel pump, electronic Fuel Pressure Regular, and stainless lines. Bosch 650CC injectors finish off the fuel management. Owner titled, “944 Turbo RS”, this example is ready for significant track use or grabbing much attention on the street. The Garret GTX3576R turbocharger sings along beautifully and brings an irreplaceable smile to anyone’s face when RPMs begin to climb.
42-way adjustable Gaz Gold series coilovers, 30mm front and 19mm rear anti-roll bars, polyurethane bushings, Sandén Motorsports adjustable camber plates, and a Sandén Motorsports strut brace define the suspension setup. Stopping power is adequate for street or track use. Porsche 996 Turbo specification front brakes, 944 Turbo S specification rear brakes, and Teflon coated steel braided hoses provide more than enough to keep braking predictable and unsprung weight to a minimum. Custom specified staggered ESR Forged 3-Piece “ES12” series wheels in satin black with a chrome black polished lip add a modern yet retro style to the already menacing stance of this build. The Michelin Cup 2 tires further complement the focused look and performance.
The gearbox has been swapped to a custom ratioed Porsche 968 G44.00 6-Speed setup. It is further specialized by adding a Quaife limited slip differential, lightweight aluminum flywheel, and a hybrid sintered clutch. Gear engagement is extremely precise and direct. The clutch engages abruptly but is strong and handles power perfectly. Under street driving, the setup engages the driver’s senses, but under load the system comes together to be butter smooth and fast.
The interior boasts an MRC half cage powder coated in a unique matt black that secures the Sabelt six-point harnesses. An OMP Alcantara steering wheel mounted to a quick release hub is matched to a steering wheel plate incorporating the Race Technologies menu buttons and function controls. Sparco EVO 2 racing buckets are mounted to easily adjustable sliders fit precisely into the compact cabin. A unique custom upholstered Alcantara shift boot and a custom “RS” center console lid add the smallest yet extremely impactful details to the interior.
Lastly, the body has been professionally fitted comprised of several elements which are stylish and classy yet a bit menacing. A custom front bumper with intercooler openings and four piece projector headlights sits beautifully and uniquely. A Porsche 968 Turbo S front splitter aids in front end grip and is connected to the chassis via stainless undercarriage bolts. A Porsche 968 Turbo S rear adjustable rear wing, 968 door mirrors, custom Porsche badge, and the bonnet louvres finalize the body styling. The repainted black body is in great condition. Although some swirl marks are present, a simple detailing would bring the paint condition to near perfection.
Three folders of documentation, receipts, build notes, diagrams, and data are maintained. Invoices and registration documentation are provided as well as a box of many trophies from previous awards and recognition. Receipts and estimates show the total investment of this build to top 149,000 Euro in its current state. It has been professionally tuned in the last year by KC-Performance in the Netherlands and ready for any type of use. It is TUV inspected and compliant. Buyer is responsible for any import fees or taxes. The last odometer reading showed 138,911kms before replacement with the Race Technologies system which now reads a little over 9,123kms, suggesting a total of 148,000kms. This fine example is a bargain at only a fraction of the build cost amid rising Porsche transaxle prices. Vehicle is currently located in Germany. You will be required to pay an import fee as it is registered with the US military. German customs will require this to register in Europe (yes the car is in Germany but registered as a US military member).
