Porsche 924 Turbo
Our 924 turbo on offer was ordered by its original owner from northern Italy and was then used in the same way that Porsches were primarily used in Italy – from the first day only for the great moments. A weekend on one of the lakes, a holiday on the Ligurian coast, a trip to the Dolomites, and in between waiting in the sheltered garage for the next pleasure trip. You have to know that Italians generally have no problem driving into the city in a Fiat Panda or VW Polo all week long. In any weather and parked wherever there is space.

The vehicle in detail

But this only happens in the rarest of cases with the car in the garage on Sundays. It is only intended for special trips and only for enjoyment. Without stop-and-go, without the usual everyday stress, without winter, salt or other adversities that make cars age faster.
So our vehicle came to Bergamo and was only driven by its owner – a professional musician and therefore practically always on the road at gigs etc. – for approximately 65,000 km until we took it over.
We immediately did a full TÜV report, but didn't register the car and instead waited until today. As a result, he was spared from German high-speed motorway stages throughout his life in the Federal Republic of Germany.

It is now a rare Porsche of the second Turbo generation. Finding a good copy is now like the oft-quoted needle in a haystack.
We are all the more pleased to be able to offer you a brilliant, rust-free 924 turbo SII in one of the sportiest color combinations that suits a Porsche like no other.
It is probably thanks to its origins that the body is still in very good condition today, no comparison to a model with “typical” German delivery. Anyone who has already dealt with these models in more detail usually knows what the 924 is like. The car's technology also has no abnormalities. Numerous works were recently carried out here in Germany: from the timing belt with water pump at km 65112 to the overhaul of the injection system, inspection and numerous wearing parts. The paintwork, which is often faded in red, has also been renewed to a high standard in the original color and now shines again like it did on the first day.
The history is largely there. The car was last owned since 1999 before it came to Germany in 2015 as mentioned above. The on-board folder with service booklet and a total of 9 entries is available. The Porsche had already received classic car registration in Italy. The regulations here are much stricter than here. The allocation is only made for completely original vehicles in very good condition.
The engine starts willingly and works perfectly. The KKK turbocharger really puts the pressure on and ensures rapid progress. The Porsche brakes and shifts gears as it should and anyone who knows the turbo knows how much driving fun this transaxle model is.
The prices for the Porsche 924 Turbo are going up steeply. Rightly so, in our opinion! In contrast to the normal 924, it is a real Porsche, whose performance has absolutely nothing to do with the well-behaved 125 hp naturally aspirated engine of the (albeit wrongly) so-called housewife Porsche.
A new full TÜV report including H approval will be carried out before delivery.
The time is ripe for these outstanding sports cars from the 80s, which quite rightly bear the Porsche coat of arms – if, despite our affinity for the 911, we step back a little and dampen our emotions a little in order to look at the facts with an objective, broad perspective Porsche did everything right. The transaxle front engine era began with the 924 and 928 and brought the Porsche brand, particularly with the entry-level Porsche 924, to the many normal earners for whom the 911 was simply too expensive. Consequently, from the basic 924, alongside homologation models such as the 924 Carrera GT and various rally versions, the top version 924 turbo was created in the first and second series, with which one could put fear into the hearts of a 911 of the time.
The 911 SC available at the time with an initial 180 hp was in practice not a bit faster than the 924 turbo. In all other disciplines, however, the smaller brother eagerly collected points and, objectively speaking, was the better car all around. Starting with the heating, through the foolproof chassis to the practical trunk, it overtook the already iconic 911 and became the first choice for those looking for “value for money”. With the 924 turbo, he got the rationally better sports car with all Porsche qualities such as a hot-dip galvanized body, long-term maintenance intervals, significantly lower operating and maintenance costs (in addition to the much cheaper purchase price) and finally more family-friendly all-round properties.
With 924 turbine greetings
