However, this car has an even more unique history. It was sold new on January 10, 1984 by Voets Autozentrum in Braunschweig. The car was specified with luxury options such as a rear window wiper and speakers WITH manual antenna. For many years the car remained in the same ownership of Mr. Ernst Schultz who bought the car new. The car was sold in the latter half of the 2010s to a collector in Luxenburg before it finally came home to us in 2022. Today, in 2024, this little Indischrot 924 presents itself as a largely new car, even though it is actually 40 years old. The reason for this is not that the car has undergone a deep renovation, but rather that it has never needed it. The car has driven 10641 km since it was new. A mileage that is undeniably supported by the condition both visually but perhaps above all mechanically. This is a car that has clearly been loved and cared for without financial restraint throughout its life something supported by a whole folder of receipts from when the car was new.
On the outside, as I said, you are greeted by a bright red exterior color that Porsche themselves named Indischrot. The entire car remains in its first coat of paint, which is not unexpected given the miles, but a little unexpected given that it is 40 years old. The exterior is simple and beautiful with classic sports car proportions and a rather angular design typical of the time. A funny detail is the lack of a mirror on the passenger side. Something that only came on later models.
It is with devotion that you open the door to an equally perfect interior. Pinstripe upholstery is embraced by vinyl inlays and one offers a driving environment that is quite simple and pared down but at the same time has everything required to make every journey a pleasure.
This is today a car that is completely unparalleled on a global market and we now see it as a great honor to have the opportunity to present it to the market.
